  1. YOU READY UK. FROST IS COMING FOR THE IN HOME. I'M SO FIRED UP I'M POSTING IN ALL CAPS 2 DAYS EARLY. I GET THAT WANDALE COMMITTED TO UK BUT YOU AND I KNOW THAT NU IS COMING LIKE ONE OF THOSE CHOO CHOO TRAINS. YOU SHOULD GIVE IT UP. JUST. GIVE. IT. UP. IF YOU DON'T GIVE IT UP WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS AFTERWARDS. LOOK AT THE GUY WHO LOSES TO SLY, THAT'S GONNA BE YOU. ALL BROKEN AND STUFF. OK I'M OUT. TIME FOR MORE COFFEE.
  2. Looks like Wandale got around to actually watching Kentucky on offense. Those doctored videos of Louisville under Lamar Jackson in a Kentucky uniform aren't fooling anyone UK!
  3. Welp, I wonder if a Mitch/Seager deal is in the works. I'd rather not see Mitch go but you never know with DiPoto. The Cano/Diaz deal seemed inevitable. The Ms probably could've gotten a touch more if they would've been able to hang onto Diaz and trade him at the deadline but still, 2 Top 100 prospects + a lotto ticket is about the top end of what the market seems to value. Cano for Bruce/Swarzek is what it is. It's kinda like looking at 2 different trades. While the Ms were largely forgettable during Cano's tenure he more than outperformed his contract. While it's hard to tell how a guy is going to age, you gotta think if nothing else, Cano's bat should be able to last. His swing was the most effortless one I've seen since Griffey Jr. The Ms/Phillies trade from the surface is a weird one. In a nutshell, If J.P. Crawford doesn't turn into a competent starting SS for the Ms....this trade will be a disaster. I only hope that the money the Ms are saving now will be utilized down the road. Mike Trout to the Ms in 2021 anyone?!? Hey..a guy has gotta hope. @Mavric the Mets are in an interesting spot. Based on the Cano/Diaz deal, they're going for it. Do they keep Syndergard or flip him to try and fill some of their gaps on offense? I think the rotation can survive without Syndergard but they need to win 'starting P health' bingo which always seems risky.
  4. Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Hopefully he's able to recover from his health related issues and ride off into the sunset. I think the offense will actually improve a little under Day. They seemed to be more open to the deep kill shot (granted having Haskins is helpful) when he was the HC earlier in the year. Where I think tOSU will see a step back, and where Urbs earned his money is in the big games. Love him or hate him, outside of Saban and maybe Petersen if I had one game I absolutely needed to win, it's hard to argue there is a better choice than Meyer. Completely agree with @jaws that they need Larry Johnson to stay. He is an absolute beast.
  5. Haha redemption? I dunno.
  6. His first public appearance post resigning at Ole Miss was at Liberty. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/22202910/former-ole-miss-coach-hugh-freeze-shows-remorse-speaking-liberty-university I don't think he ends up at Liberty as I think he'll be able to snag a high level OC job, just that it wouldn't stun me.
  7. Best of luck to Turner and his family with everything. Would be interesting to see if Liberty goes after Ron Brown. Hugh Freeze wouldn't stun me either. Depends how quickly he wants to get a head coaching job again I suppose.
  8. Ah, good to know. Appreciate the correction.
  9. I think Tulane plays at the Superdome too. For FCS teams there are a few--UNI, NDSU, UND, South Dakota. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple.
  10. The Million Dollar Man would like a MILLION DOLLAR SANTA HAT. Thanks in advance @knapplc
  11. Agreed he's made me eat crow. I want to see how he does post Manny Wilkins/N'Keal Henry.
  12. I don't have much to add except I wish there wasn't such a stigma attached to the trades. I have several friends who went the trade routes whether they're plumbers/electricians/etc and they are all absolutely killing it. Is it hard work and not very glamorous? You bet. Are you going to make $125k+? Unlikely unless some things break your way. That being said, your salary floor is so much higher than just about every other vertical outside of STEM/nursing/sales that I can think of. I'm sure a lot of it is because there are subsets of parents who think those jobs are beneath them and their kids but damn, an essentially well paid internship with above market wages without the burden of college debt seems pretty doggone appealing to me.
  13. The McSorely award feels more like a career recognition award versus how he did this season. It might be time for the Big Ten to go to 3 WRs slots for awards season with the way offenses are shifting. It's a tough call with Stan because you're only competing for one slot because Rondale Moore was a monster this year. I can't help but feel if Parris Campbell had an Illinois jersey instead of a tOSU one that Stan would've gotten the bump. I don't have an issue with Tyler Johnson getting first team, he's excellent.
  14. Yup, I know exactly where you're talking about. Right near Meredith.
  15. Romeo's taco special for me. 3 tacos, $7. It'll work. I, too am curious to hear more about this toasted JJ sammich. All the Quiznos in Omaha seemed to disappear overnight and now the only time I can get my fix is when I travel to Des Moines for work.
  16. Cool cool. I appreciate your perspectives. The only thing I'd push back against Mav is your last comment. College Gameday has covered the story a few times (which is where I heard of it).
  17. I'm a bit surprised you haven't heard of it as you're obviously a fan of college football. Do you only pay attention to Nebraska and generally shun all forms of media? No snark intended, genuinely curious.
  18. People pick really weird hills to die on. This is one of them.
  19. Kingsbury out at TT. Not entirely shocked. Assuming Seth Littrell gets a long look.
  20. Jennings turned him into Burnt Toast Radley Hiles. I never understood why he went to OU as the nature of both OU's offense plus the offenses they go against could destroy the confidence of a young player as you're gonna get burned just due to the volume of passes and the talent you go against. But, I guess he really wanted to play as a freshman versus go to Clemson and wait it out. Speaking of Clemson...damn them for nabbing Isaiah Simmons.
  21. The feeling in the Minny locker room has to be pure euphoria. You smoke one of your biggest rivals to get off the schneid, get bowl eligible AND you do it on their home field? Yeah that is all sorts of awesome.
  22. Ohio State minus the points next week against NW is lock city right?  I mean...we literally had this exact scenario happen a few years ago when tOSU needed a convincing win to leap into the playoff and they put up a 59 burger on Whisky.

What is "minus the points"?? Think you mean give/lay the points.

Yeah, minus the points/lay the points.  All the same thing.
