  1. The movie was in post production, filming was done and over for about 6 months when Carrie passed away. To change the movie that dramatically to kill Leia would have been a major set back, a major re-write would have been needed, getting the cast together to re-shoot thing, most likely leading to the delay of the release. This was going to be a Christmas Movie, and there is NO WAY Disney would have been able to sit on this another year with no spoilers going out. It just wasn't plausible to have Leia die in VIII, she will have to die off screen, most likely in the time period between when episode XIII ends and IX begins. I'd assume there will be a canon book/comic book/animation to come out in the not too distant future that will explore how Leia passed away. This way Carrie won't have to reprise the role and they can still explain what happened to her. As for her using the force to fly, yes that was a bit 'odd' especially since I cannot remember any other time Leia exhibited skills with the force.
  2. On the bright side (?) they won't be around as long to deal with the burden
  3. I hear this about MB all the time (and Bradly last year) that the offer will be there once he's qualified. That's great, but how come that wasn't the case with Masry? By all accounts, he's got a lot of work ahead of him to qualify, yet he has an offer. Why the difference? It has to be more than just qualifying, doesn't it? As for MB, I view him as a jack of all trades master of none.
  4. Carl takes over for Rick in the books.
  5. I think the 'shock value' is for the core fan base that also reads the comics. This is a MAJOR departure. Little things were irksome, like killing off Andrea, not making the Governor as ruthless as he was, but Carl...that's just WOW for the comic fans.
  6. What I'm hearing, coaches are telling him he's a better fit on Defense and want him on that side.
  7. Benning all but said Vedral is transferring earlier this week on their show. I wish I could remember which day and segment it was so I could like the podcast. Vedral would basically be a 'coach' as a player in year one teaching the offense to the other QBs while he uses his redshirt season. My impression was we'd get a JUCO like Wilson, who would also have some knowledge of the system and Vedral to help coach a true FR and the QBs that stay.
  8. So, besides Heath, what are the odds that we see Dwight's wife make a return visit? Maybe she made it to oceanside? I would love to see her and Heath come back in some role in the second half of this season
  9. Loved it! Hope that somehow they could figure out a way to incorporate Matt Murdock or any Defender in the movies. Help tie them all together. Just even mentioning them.
  10. Huh, guess I'm an anomaly, I actually liked all of those. Granted S1 of Daredevil and Jessica Jones were better, but I've been entertained with all of these shows. Far more than Agents of SHIELD. We are finishing Mindhunters before going over to Punisher.
  11. I can't see Steele leaving SEC country. Unless he gets to be a HC again, and I'm not sold he wants to do that either. That said, if we can land him, I'd back up the brinks truck for him and ask Moos to make the assistant pool larger because the DC just took it all.
  12. I'm actually surprised more business aren't against this, outside of your telecommunications companies. Every company I have worked for, including my current one, the ERP is a web based system. Add in websites that we have, email systems, etc. Companies are web reliant. Also, every company I worked for has always looked for ways to reduce costs. This goes to fortune 500 companies to family owned businesses. They cost of doing business is about to go up, if what people are saying is true regarding the end to net neutrality. What I am understanding is not only will one of my necessary luxury items be going up in price but all of my other goods and services I buy will be going up as companies will be looking to offset the cost of rising internet bills by passing the increase to me as a customer. Sounds like it's a double win for telecommunications companies. A net loss to majority of other businesses and a double hit to me as a consumer.
  13. So basically the internet is becoming the modern day cable? Right now, the internet is like ABC/NBC/CBS/Fox/PBS, where I pay $X.xx per month and I can get it all. Ending net neutrality will then convert internet to cable packages, where depending on which tier I get, I can get more internet or less internet. So if I want HBO, I pay extra, if I don't want it, I don't pay for it. So if I don't care about music, I can let that go slower and not pay for it, if I want video, I order it, much like I do HBO. In a nutshell, is that what is going to happen?
  14. I can't find the link, but I swore it was ESPN (maybe BR) that was saying it was a 3 horse race for Kelly. UCLA/UF/and a mysterious 3rd team is how the click bait read. Didn't click it, but curious how much Moos has talked to Kelly.
  15. THANK YOU!! It's great getting caught up again. I was thinking I was going to have to have a major order on Amazon to catch up. I'll go back to buying them again once current, this is great to help me catch up. Appreciate it!
  16. I say this having not seen last Sunday's episode as of yet. But the lack of Coral has also helped this season. I can't imagine they kill him, but I despise him on the show.
  17. I have an acquaintance who builds AK47s. Has about 25 of them he's built. You can go on-line and order all the replacement parts you need and assemble it yourself. If you learn how to take apart and assemble a weapon, you can find every piece you need on-line and order it. And scary enough, if you order these, you can probably order and assemble without having to have a gun license to buy one. Anyone with a credit card, a mailing address and access to the internet could build one from scratch.
  18. Will there be a bidding war for Helfrich? I've heard speculation that Frost may be want him here as the OC.
  19. Been a lot of innuendos that the hiring of Bob and the firing of Banker was also above Riley's pay grade. Hearing the things I'm hearing, sounds more and more like Riley was too much of a good guy and got pushed around both from those above him and to an extent those who he coached. Talks of him being too nice and timid and was walked all over by almost everyone.
  20. I actually see development and improvement of most DL group from day 1 of JP's arrival to now. Add in that I think he's a good recruiter and he would be a great fit on the next staff. Nebraska guy through and through, epitome of hard work, appears to be a good teacher and recruiter, I don't see why you wouldn't want JP. As for Williams, given what Keith has to work with, I think he's doing a good/great job. And would be an asset if retained. As for Donte, there's a lot of speculation that him and Bobby D don't see eye to eye, but he has a solid reputation for recruiting and coaching. I'd like to see what he can do in a new system. For now, his recruiting keeps him around and if he can live up to his rep about coaching, under the new DC, he would also be a great asset to have.
  21. Out of all the position coaches, JP and the Williams are the 3 I could make an argument for staying. The others wouldn't be a huge loss IMO. Heck, at this point, I'd welcome Cotton back over Cav.
  22. I hear 1 and 4 a lot from a family member that voted Trump. I think a lot of that opinion ties into the sexism topic for the other thread.
