First by a Muslim, not the first during his term in office. What I wish someone in the press corp would ask (and maybe I missed it) is why after the NYC attack, the message from the White House was "we need to act immediately" regarding immigration. After the LV attack, the message from the White House was "now is not the time to act" regarding gun control. Two glaring reasons for that are the NRA and one of the assailants was white. I wish the press would ask why it was OK to want to act immediately after one, but not the other, just to see the spin.

Anything specific or just a general comment? I mean, if we are going to just randomly start threads about jack asses. I vote we start with Kevin Spacey.

Well those early enrollees will be the ones doing the early signing. You are looking at maybe half the class who for sure would sign early.

I heard last night, there's roughly 6 or 7 commits that are early enrollees. That's about half of the committed class as it stands right now.

So, apparently, Trump's executive order actually helps enrollment in states like California (those who have created exchanges within the structure of Obamacare) while, effectively, hurting all of the states that didn't really make use of Obamacare the way it was meant to (which are pretty much all red states who voted for Trump). So not only did Trump unwittingly help blue states, he also gave Democrats even more political capital because they get to pretend that this was a terrible move (when it really wasn't for their own constituents, but only for those whose votes they are trying to still get). Even when Trump tries to do something despicable, he F's that up too, and his own party still doesn't get it either. Not me, I'm still a firm believer in getting the absolute BEST passing QB you can get. If he has some mobility, added bonus. First and foremost for me, regardless of who the QB is or the system you run, you get 5 OL beasts ever year and 4 nasty dirty DL players every year. Win the trenches win the game. Doesn't matter your system or the level, if you can control the line of scrimmage, the rest of the game is easy.

The two minorities are in entry level positions. About 70% of the management team in our office is female. Ratio in the office is roughly 65/35 female to male. Our IT skews the ratio, as that is all men. All other areas are closer to 80/20

Don't know if this qualifies, but I was just realizing, I work for a large multi-state company. Our office in Omaha has roughly 150 people working here. Out of that 150, there are exactly 2 minorities that work in our office. And from what I see of workers in of other companies in our building, that number jumps to around 300 and I've still only seen the 2 minorities. It's hard to fathom with all the positions, across many different fields that only 2 minorities work here. Maybe the Rooney rule should be introduced nationwide.

I'm not even sold on getting to the minimum 5 wins to be worried about our APR. Love your optimism.

Question, would you want to bring in a new coach for next season? Games at Ann Arbor, at Columbus, at Madison, at Iowa City plus a good Colorado team coming to Lincoln. Would it make more sense to have Riley be a sacrificial lamb next season and take on that gauntlet or bring in a new coach trying to install his system and culture only to have the team beaten down? Almost makes more sense to give Riley another season because the 19 schedule isn't a bad schedule to be working on a new philosophy. Doing that Nebraska may lose out on Frost, but no one will accuse Nebraska of not giving Riley ample opportunity with 4 seasons.

True most searches do take a bit longer for the AD position. That said, giving DR only a 60 day contract, expedites the process in many people's eye. I don't foresee us going from a temp AD to a second temp AD and I don't envision we will be without someone in that role either. So the pressure is on Green et al to find someone within 60 days.

There's are some rumors that a decision has been made based on a listen of the Carriker Chronicles. One with DR made it sound like a person was hired, and made it sound like it was a former Husker not named TA. I'm listening to it now to see if get the same vibe from it.
