  1. I would rather have Auburn's former head coach Gus Malzhan. I think his offense would work well in Lincoln.
  2. Yep, Bo didn't read a Jon Gordon book about a bus. It was all over then with Silent E.
  3. Since LSU's defense is still a dumpster fire this year, it's less about Bo and more about they miss the detail and coaching acumen of Dave Aranda.
  4. With a reduced price of 20 dollars on the initial ticket. Multiple game purchases get extra free tickets, 50 cents on your Hy-Vee fuel saver, plus fries and drink upgraded at Runza from medium to large. This "organic" sellout streak will not die on our watch.
  5. That's the thing too. Someone could have just read the thread and not commented on it further. They know what they were doing.
  6. 4 years removed would likely be a completely different group of players
  7. He did go 13-0 and beat Auburn. I don't care about lame SEC excuses about effort in the bowl game. From 0-12 two years earlier under O'Leary is still an impressive feat.
  8. Whether Coach Frost gets shown the door at the end of this year or next year, I think it is inevitable. Scott Frost the player was pretty darn good, Scott Frost the coach might be Larry Coker, Gene Chizik, or Ed Orgeron. I was excited for the hire but some things don't work out. Keeping him around longer as a coach isn't going to change the trajectory of the program in a positive way. It's going to be worse than when T.O. and Doc were crying as Sadler was well liked but didn't win enough to keep his job. It's just a matter of time whether they want to face reality after this year or next.
  9. The answer this year is I am looking forward to basketball. I think #Nebrasketball finishes in the middle of the conference and wins an NCAA tournament game for the first time. Coach Hoiberg has a team on the rise.
  10. The funniest thing is all over Facebook I see posts about "you need to trust Scott, he will get it done". It was a memory they shared again from 2019. I was thinking if the status quo is kept up, you will be sharing the same post again in 2022 and 2023 until they learn to separate Frost the player from Frost the coach. What if Scott Frost is Larry Coker, Gene Chizik, or Ed Orgeron? He caught lightning in a bottle one year and will never approach those heights again. It is certainly possible.
  11. Why do we have to get a bad hire again? What if it is a good hire and he wins 9 games in year 2? Why the defeatist attitude and loyalty to Scott the coach who isn't Scott the player? Oklahoma didn't hire Josh Heupel as HC. Tennessee had no interest in Tee Martin as HC. Judge Scott on his own coaching merit which right now is one of the worst coaches in Nebraska football history. There are no guarantees it works because he was a championship player. Take the emotion out of it. Chances are if it was going to work, it would have already happened by now.
  12. I know what I don't want to see. People comparing Coach Frost's tenure to Coach Obsorne's. Tom never won fewer than 9 games in a year. Scott has never had a winning record in Lincoln, heck he hasn't even been .500. His high water mark is 5 wins. It's such a bad faith argument comparison. When I see someone make that debate to argue for more years for Coach Frost I assume they can't distance themself from Scott the championship player or are easily manipulated and dumb. What are people scared of? It get worse? How bad does it have to get with losing season after losing season, players leaving, and boosters bailing out the fake sellout streak, much like Callahan's last ride in '07.
  13. Imagine thinking AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" wasn't tired, unimaginative, and cliche much like "Sirius". I guess I expect more effort to modernize and you are satisfied with the status quo.
  14. Yes I do. I think of Thunderstruck the same as Sirius, it's been done before and done better many years ago.
  15. "Breathe" by Prodigy was a big hit and if you don't know who Metallica is, I don't know what to tell you.
  16. Replace "Thunderstruck" with "Breathe and Destroy". So much more energy, familiar but unique and doesn't seem as dated. UNK was using "Thunderstruck" at basketball games 30 years ago. The verbiage in the bridge could be replaced with 'Husker rallying cries and great plays on the video board.
  17. Yep, and he is pretty creative mind on offense that seem to score gobs of points wherever he lands.
  18. If we are talking about hypotheticals. If Frost goes 4-8 again and you have the chance to hire Lane Kiffin from Oxford, MS and Chinander accepts Lane's offer to stay on, would you bring him in?
  19. It reminds me of the way people talk about a knuckleball pitcher as a gimmick in baseball. If there is enough talent and execution, great things can happen like R.A. Dickey winning the Cy Young award.
  20. Until Big Ten teams get a handle on stopping it, it should remain a part of the offense every game. I remember reading Adam Rittenberg talking about how Big Ten teams were mostly unfamiliar with it in the conference.
  21. I think you risk further fan apathy if you keep him on after another 4-8 season. One advantage Nebraska hasn't eroded away.......yet
  22. Yes, and USC hired him as a coach. That was the going rate. A Coach Frost mistake.
  23. Remember when they could have hired Sean Snyder, 2 time ESPN special teams coach of year, and they passed on him?
  24. I see Sam Pittman at Arkansas, an OL coach who turned it around quickly. Coach Stoops did at Oklahoma. Dan Mullen won 9 games at MSU in Year 2. Nebraska needs someone fundamentally sound who recognizes the value of OL and TE which is a strength of local talent. If it was going to happen with Coach Frost, it would have already started happening, year 3 at the absolute latest. If Frost finishes 4-8 again you have to let him go. His ties to Nebraska playing days should not be a factor in moving on.
