  1. Replace "Thunderstruck" with "Breathe and Destroy". So much more energy, familiar but unique and doesn't seem as dated. UNK was using "Thunderstruck" at basketball games 30 years ago. The verbiage in the bridge could be replaced with 'Husker rallying cries and great plays on the video board.
  2. Yep, and he is pretty creative mind on offense that seem to score gobs of points wherever he lands.
  3. If we are talking about hypotheticals. If Frost goes 4-8 again and you have the chance to hire Lane Kiffin from Oxford, MS and Chinander accepts Lane's offer to stay on, would you bring him in?
  4. It reminds me of the way people talk about a knuckleball pitcher as a gimmick in baseball. If there is enough talent and execution, great things can happen like R.A. Dickey winning the Cy Young award.
  5. Until Big Ten teams get a handle on stopping it, it should remain a part of the offense every game. I remember reading Adam Rittenberg talking about how Big Ten teams were mostly unfamiliar with it in the conference.
  6. I think you risk further fan apathy if you keep him on after another 4-8 season. One advantage Nebraska hasn't eroded away.......yet
  7. Yes, and USC hired him as a coach. That was the going rate. A Coach Frost mistake.
  8. Remember when they could have hired Sean Snyder, 2 time ESPN special teams coach of year, and they passed on him?
  9. I see Sam Pittman at Arkansas, an OL coach who turned it around quickly. Coach Stoops did at Oklahoma. Dan Mullen won 9 games at MSU in Year 2. Nebraska needs someone fundamentally sound who recognizes the value of OL and TE which is a strength of local talent. If it was going to happen with Coach Frost, it would have already started happening, year 3 at the absolute latest. If Frost finishes 4-8 again you have to let him go. His ties to Nebraska playing days should not be a factor in moving on.
  10. Works for CBS and he is a fantastic radio guy on SiriusXM
  11. Yes, I like this idea. His offense would fit too. My only question is he has never been outside the South as far as I know. If he has a good pool of money for assistants I think I would enjoy watching it work.
  12. I would think the worry would be, much like Kim Reynolds at Iowa, Gov. Ricketts would use it for political theater. He's pretty good at that. The amplified bullhorn would generate a crapstorm that no one wants.
  13. Been waiting for Nebraska to play Tennessee for how many years now? I hope the "scheduling alliance" allows for that contract. They want to boot Cincy that is fine by me. Eichorst's "gift" IIRC anyway.
  14. Mike Schaefer said he is "Fat Porde" in a Tweet and that is how the Mizzou guy shall be forever known
  15. Oh God, it's Houston Nutt on the tarmac isn't it?
  16. Godfather's Super Taco Pizza is the gold standard of all taco pizza.
  17. Yep, national search. Matt Davison? No thanks.
  18. Outside of Gerrit Cole, Arkansas probably has better pitching.
  19. I think it would fascinating to see what Big Ten leadership would do if they pushed back the NCAA season to line up with MLB and give them more equal footing? Would the university brass around the conference invest more in the sport?
  20. I'd agree it has been most of the seson. Although I will give Kendall and company credit for having a Lincoln regional possibility before they face planted against Rutgers. I just hope they are able to stay out of Fayetteville and Nashville. If they win they should send them to a weaker seed, like Oxford, MS, travel be damned because the northern teams kind of get boxed into a corner.
  21. If Nebraska wins the Big Ten and gets sent to the Fayetteville Regional I am going to be livid.
