  1. The eligibility waiver is for an additional year in 2018. He is a tratitional transfer, so he is INELIGIBLE to play in 2016. That's pretty much what I thought but a guy can hope, can't he? What they needed to locate was a graduate, like Russell Wilson, that could come in and play immediately. Sorry, but I'm pretty down on the turnover machine that is TA. And really it's not his fault, but rather the guys that are calling the plays and putting him in situations that he doesn't excel at. I'd be perfectly content with TA in a different offense, with different play calling.
  2. I find it semi entertaining that many are not very excited by this pick up, given his timeline. But, if he could play this coming season......man, that would be really good news. Hopefully the talk of possibly getting him eligible for this year (doubtful) pans out.
  3. That's great. Why is there a guy going by rockchalkrod at Grand Island High School? How far have we fallen.
  4. I've avoided this question on purpose but I really have to wonder why would a person put themselves in the predicament of not having income on purpose. Stupid move if you ask me. Hey, I totally get that an existing job may suck ass and that a change needs to be made. Fine. Get the replacement job secured THEN quit. I really have to wonder how lazy a person is being that can't make that simple, logical step before quitting. Unless you are independently wealthy and don't need income, why would you even consider such a thing? Is somebody else going to put food on your table and pay your bills when you don't find that new job? Grow up.
  5. Medium rare grilled ribeye, baked potato with jalapeño sour cream, and a Breckenridge Brewing Agave Wheat beer. That should hold me for awhile.

It felt good. Seems like it's been a long time since my last ribeye. Finally affordable at $6.98/lb at Sam's and the weather was great for firing up the grill. Started snowing 2 hrs after I grilled, haha, take that mother nature.

  7. If these guys can pull a top 20ish recruiting class after the season they had.........that's one hell of a recruiting job IMO.

Still talking smack I see... smh. How old are you, 12? I'll be extremely impressed if we finish Top 20, and will happily admit I was wrong.

Right, I think there was a major reworking of the recruiting operation in store. But I think that was coming either way, and going 11-2 last season wouldn't have given much of an assist. The current and ongoing work is a reflection of the new approach. Better groundwork, more attentive, better management (hopefully) but not quite elite.

I would agree that any positive strides we are making in recruiting is due to a new approach. But you will never convince me that recruiting to an 11-2 team is not gobs easier than trying to sign kids to a 6-7 team. Thinking otherwise is just silly.

  8. Agreed. I'm not saying you don't have a point but the place to start with quality depth is in the number one position. POB may be the guy.....but what we have now and have had for quite a few years has been lacking in the starter category and really super sad in the backup positions. That would apply to most of the positions on the team as well. We just plain have to get better at getting talent in the door and then training them up or 8t will be the status quo for another 15.
  9. Backup......how about we get a starter first?
  10. GSG won't have much time available to play defense, being as he's our head coach.
  11. Broncos 6-0 in playoff games with Ed Hochuli as the ref.

  12. Unfortunately, picking Nebraska 3rd in the west makes complete sense and would be the odds on money guess. That is who we are until we quit performing like a 3rd (or worse) B1G West team. Really, anyone would have to be crazy, or a diehard fan, to pick us any higher.
  13. We used to have a goat. Killed it and ate it. Just sayin.

  14. Those look to be reasonable prices for those tires. But you could find other good tires for less money. You're paying for the name on Michelins, Coopers, Bridgestone, BF Goodrich etc. Some of the off brand names are made in the same facilities, the same way, but have a different name and they can be had for less money. I guess it depends what particular aspects of the tire is important to you.
  15. Bo is gone. He ain't coming back. Get over it. f#*k! And no that does not mean I am completely happy or satisfied with Riley. Bo was taking us nowhere. His 9 wins per year meant dick squat. Let him go.
  16. With Red Dead Redemption's additions to the list I add 6 more, making my total 24. Who's slightly less pathetic now? Ha ha! I've only done one on Red Dead Redemption's list. So I guess you are the slightly less pathetic one now. I need to get back to Lincoln more often. Must be party at the Cherry Hut, huh? Everybody's done that haven't they? And to be clear, I am still pathetic. I don't even recognize many of those places or names. I have read about dLeons here on HB, that is one I feel like I need to try. I'm 52 but still feel I am missing out on some awesome 3AM drunk breakfast burrito or something. Sad.
