All I want for Christmas is a win against Ohio state, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Is that asking too much!?

Our guys need to set the tone of this game early...if they allow Ohio state to gain confidence, this could get ugly soon. If we come out and through the first punch, may be we knock that confidence out of their herbstreits.

It is trial-and-error kickering tonight...

Wet conditions hurt us more than they do Ohio State. Our running game is not that strong especially up the middle, and if we are forced to throw the ball, that will not be that good in the rain. Couple that with our fumbilites as of late, wet weather is definitely against us. Ohio state has some strong running backs that can definitely run the ball down our throats. I am hoping for some dry good weather. Fingers crossed.

I have a good feeling about this one...I don’t know why but I really believe Nebraska is overdue on a little miracle and it might just happen this Saturday night. I say Huskers 28 - Herbstreits 24.

I tend to agree with RedDenver...getting pummeled on a nationally televised game with game day on campus is going to hurt much more than losing the game if the game were on BTN at 11 am. Now, that being said, if the team plays four quarters of solid football similar to the first half of the Colorado game, we can actually win the game and that will be an excellent boost to our image that has been sullied by Riley’s rein. These situations are always risky but the rewards are great if we come up on the winning side. I really hope our guys play hard and make it a four quarter game regardless of the outcome. I hope my beloved huskers win but if we lose a close game to the number 5 team in the nation, there is no shame in that. GO BIG REEEEEEEED!

I mentioned in another thread that Adrian Martinez jumping to receive the snap must be messing with his rhythm. At least in the first half, the snaps were very bad which led to several tackles for loss. The snaps were much better in the game against Northern Illinois and only a few were a little high. That was definitely not the case in the game against Illinois. I have never seen any other QB jump to receive the snap. If it is a new coaching technique, I would be really surprised. How hard is it for the center to snap the ball correctly? Isn’t this one of their primary duties?

Second rate teams attract fifth tier announcers. Once we finally beat a top 10 team and may be make the top 25, we will get better announcers for our games. Until then, I do not mind our fifth tier announcers.

What???? Some people just like to make comments that make absolutely no sense at all. I guess this is one of those times. Forget the 90s man, we are talking about the last decade. You do know it is 2019? Right?

Robinson reminds me of the way Rex Burkhead used to play. He is very tough and packs a good punch for a player of his size. He really was one of the difference makers in the game. We will need him to play as well against Ohio State.

Don’t you think that you are extremely exaggerating what I said? I never said we should stop televising games. I just said that every time we have been a part of a nationally televised game, we found a way to disappoint. I hope that does happen but the way we have been playing, it does not inspire confidence. I personally would rather the game is televised on BTN.

Every time we are put in the spotlight, our team finds a way to make the opponent look like world beaters. Honestly, I would rather we fly under the radar until our team learns how to play 4 quarters of good football consistently. I am afraid next week will be ugly and not something we want to call attention to.

All I know that if we play against Ohio State like we did against Illinois, it will get very ugly very early. We need to play four quarters of outstanding football to have a chance against them. Several key players got injured yesterday, let us hope we have everyone healthy because we need all the weapons we can get against Ohio State.

What I learned is (1) we can win games if Adrian Martinez plays four quarters of football (2) our center needs to learn how to snap the ball. Marinez is now doing a little jump every time in anticipation of a high snap, which throws off his rhythm and takes up time needed for him to scan the field (3) Robinson is really special...I am impressed. (4) we continue to commit undisciplined penalties at the worst times that cost us points. 11 penalties for 119 yards is something that would be impossible to overcome if we played a good team (5) our play calling is greatly affected by the fact that we do not have a kicking game what so ever (6) we had way too many turnovers (7) The zebras bailed us out a couple of times (8) we are a few years from being able to compete with likes of Wisconsin and Ohio state. They will both destroy us if we played like we did in this game

First, your comment makes no sense but then again you do not seem to be that smart anyway. It is ok..you are limited by your IQ. And I was not born in 74. I like that number and it has significance for me. I was born in 86. So, why don’t you save whatever smart comments you have for yourself because you do not have many smart things to add.

I learned that: (1) we are capable of playing four quarters of football (2) our defense is much improved if our offense don’t keep them out there for long stretches of time (3) we really need a good kicker as soon as possible (4) we are not committing many fouls which is impressive (5) our special teams (other than the kicking game) played very well and had two blocked punts. (6) Either Frost makes some very suspect play calls at some stretches of the game or Martinez is unable to execute what Frost is asking...either way, our play calling needs to improve heading to the Ohio state game (7) Frost needs to consider injecting Vedral into the game when Martinez struggles. (8) Honas and Domann are special players (9) First game in a long time that made me hopeful for the future.
