  1. I have a physician I work with that had this instructor at Princeton years ago for organic chemistry. We talked about it just yesterday - he said yes the guy was tough, the topic was challenging and sometimes he was vague but it wasn't unpassable. He didn't ace it, and a lot of people dropped the class, but it wasn't because of the teacher, it was the topic. Can people make a tough topic interesting and fun and "easy" - maybe, but is that their job as an instructor at an Ivy League school? People don't seem to understand that we shouldn't want people who make difficult topics simple for students - we don't want folks treating us for rare diseases and performing surgical procedures that cruised through college with classes that were made easy for them (or at least I don't). We should all want the brightest and best of folks to get into medicine, and if this guy's class was a weed out so be it.
  2. The fact that all these "pro life" GOP leaders are circling the wagons around the worst candidate since Trump is sickening to me. How any one who claims to have morals and ethics, who boasts of their "christianity" and why it makes them better than "non believers" can support someone who not just constantly lies, but has a list of things in his past that are the focus of the party to outlaw for others is just beyond me. Heck Roy Moore would have probably won in today's world. If there's any rational person on this board still that votes R without considering the actual person behind the designation please help me understand.
  3. I think right now we're focused on skittle colored drugs and gas prices.
  4. I'd very much like to see the diversity numbers on residents of this area vs. other parts of FL ... edit: Looked it up. Race is typical FL balance, heavy on the white, but income is certainly an outlier Population White alone, percent  86.5% Black or African American alone, percent(a)  9.2% American Indian and Alaska Native alone, percent(a)  0.5% Asian alone, percent(a)  1.8% But Education and income is interesting: Education High school graduate or higher, percent of persons age 25 years+, 2016-2020 89.3% Bachelor's degree or higher, percent of persons age 25 years+, 2016-2020 28.5% Income & Poverty Median household income (in 2020 dollars), $59,608 Per capita income in past 12 months (in 2020 dollars), $34,818
  5. I'm not sure we should be so quick to think Busch should be demoted back to just special teams. In a weeks' time he did a pretty good job with the D changes that needed to be made.
  6. Coach Joseph trusts his coaching staff and let's them do their jobs. HUGE imo and not something I'd say about the previous guy who so obviousy overrode their calls at times. Gives me confidence that should he be offered the job he'd hire the right people and give them what they need to do their job, and would trust them as experts.
  7. I feel that "Cancel culture" is a stupid term used by the right to try and drum up anger and divisiveness and ultimately blame others for the fact that people will not support something or someone who goes against their morals. That's been going on since forever, it only has a catchy name now so that whiny GOP folks can chirp about how unfair it is and play the victim. You do $hitty stuff, you may not have a market/friends any longer. Solution: Don't do $hitty stuff.
  8. Except all this confirms the firing was a good one - confirms that Trev made the right call. Puts boosters in their place about being the only ones in the know - I'm sure he'll get spoken to on his judgement of doing it on camera/mic - but it works for Trev and the program in the long run to have it aired.
  9. I'd imagine with all that's going on this season and has gone on during the tenure of these kids it's a way of checking in on them post game day (and post game day night) to gauge where they are with things.
  10. I agree with you 100% - my sarcasm didn't come thru correctly. Someone else made a comment that they're all crazy/embarrassing because ... "california"
  11. Yes, the reason these celebrities are all crazy is because of where they live.
  12. Calling them "celebrities" is sorta a stretch at this point.
  13. No words ... they don't even know enough to just be quiet.
  14. Well at least those guys he was belittling then arrogantly walking past as if he dismissed them, aren't able to vote (yet). I think all these actions will add up and end result in lack of support for the GOP - yet here we are.
  15. I'm sure Kevin will hold a presser today to speak out on the inappropriate and disrespectful behavior of these two and all those who "didn't have time for a covdi test" in order to attend.
  16. I'm ready to start dialing names from from the phone book of that traitorous tool's district myself.
  17. Hearing rumbles of a coordinated stunt by the GOP for tonights' SOTU....
  18. National guard has been called in as the fences go back up and they plan around potential activities that would endanger every politician in the building .... which is EVERY one of import in the USA, including the Supreme Court members. That's why the national guard has been called up. https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2022/02/28/national-guard-on-standby-for-state-of-the-union-address/ That's why they're needed at the SOTU. If the US was not so divided with half the country thinking the current leadership in power never won the election and should not retain power perhaps we wouldnt need it. But they are organized groups, with an irrational obsession with guns and fire power and "righting the wrong" -
  19. Lied about turning down a Rhodes Scholarship interview so he could play fb for Yale (but it was disclosed he was never up for Rhodes due to a sexual assault case) Patrick Witt? Color me shocked that he's a member of this GOP.
  20. Oh yes - I guess there were folks signing up to serve - thank you for the reminder. Just cant even imagine that in this day and age of divide, unless there was taunting involved and pointing out those who DONT sign up as libs and etc.
  21. So when I read this ... do you think Biden and Harris are from the far left of the party? As a center left Dem he's a moderate as any candidate in the last 10 years - I'd say McCain was maybe similar. I have concerns that folks think that if you are a Dem then you're Far Left. Joe believes in choice and gun control measures - does that make him a radical lefty?
  22. Nope - and remember when Biden said "no national funding and support to FL" after the Surfside Building Collapse? The Feb tornados? Tropical Storm Fred? Merica'
