  1. No. lol I totally forgot about Lil red. I was thinking more of a front facing hat. Camo maybe. Maybe a can of dip in his back pocket... Now I'm describing Larry the Cable Guy
  2. ok keep his hair blonde but put a baseball cap with an N on it instead of the cowboy hat
  3. everyone knows you can't recruit to Nebraska
  4. I want to say I saw a pretty bad hold against Stille vs Ohio st. If they had been on a date and Stille wasn't consenting the other dude would be looking at jail time.
  5. Agreed. I could tell against Illinois because the clips they showed of guys warming up they looked like deer in head lights. I've seen that look before losses while coaching plenty of times. We are competing pretty well for the most part. Just have to get over the bonehead plays that keep costing the team big time.
  6. Yeah I commented on this to my brother the other day. I have been a Chicago Bears fan all of my life and their plan of attack on 3rd downs post Walter Payton is to throw a pass 3-5 yards short of the sticks. Nebraska has seemed to adopt the same philosophy. Boggles my mind.
  7. maybe they should take the old Herbie and make his hair brown. New school meets old school
  8. He was on the side line the last home game. If he's just behind mentally you still dress him just in case. It could be a hammy or a groin issue. Those can linger for a while and depending what type of person he is they can be more of a problem.
  9. This is pretty much how I feel about this season and some of the topics started on this board
  10. As this post states... this line is offensive
  11. Iowa got called for that clipping by the OL. not more than about 4 plays later I believe the same guy did it again. clear as day. Funny how you miss it a second time but are quick to call holding on an a guy blocking I guy who took himself out of the play. They also missed a blatant pick on one of Iowa's completed passes. I do think its crazy that no holding has been called. I know we don't have super explosive guys on the line that make holding more noticeable but there have been plenty of times when I thought it was obvious
  12. This is why I kind of don't like the whole tempo thing and no huddle. I don't know about Frost but when I was coaching I would call plays to set up other plays. I would have to tell my QB on certain pass plays to look for his 3rd read instead of his normal 1st because I knew what how the defense was reacting. I understand this is college and the QB should know who should be open but when you have a bunch of big D linemen coming at you its easy to forget stuff. Call Luke over to the sideline and say hey Betts (or whoever) should be open on this one look to him 1st.
  13. 3.6 x 3 = 10.8. That's enough for a 1st down. Get enough 1st downs and you will eventually end up in the endzone
  14. Because they seem to do pretty well on our first drive of each game they could just call the same exact plays the next series. No one would expect it.
  15. Do the players have to talk to the press? I get they are trying to get ready for the next level but if I'm a player I'm not talking to the press right after a loss. Should be only after a win.
  16. Spinal cord concussion is a variant of mild spinal cord injury, clinically designated as transient paraplegia or neurapraxia, and characterized by variable degrees of sensory impairment and motor weakness that typically resolve within 24–72 hours without permanent deficits... I don't think his career at Nebraska is over. They will probably sit him out this week. Or his career could be over I'm not a doctor.
  17. If I'm the OC at this point I would just line up my 3 fastest rec to one side. The two inside guys need to get upfield quickly to put pressure on the safeties. Then you basically have a one on one on the outside and just need to throw it long enough for them to run under it. no need for a jump ball. if its thrown too long no harm no foul on to the next play.
  18. at least Tommy would take a shot here and there deep. Has either QB's attempted a pass longer than 20yrds? Even if we aren't completing them you at least have to take a shot now and again to keep the defense somewhat honest.
  19. It doesn't matter who the QB is. They have both been coached by they same guy. They both hold the ball to low and have a long wind-up. They both keep their elbows too low when throwing and all their throws end up being high. They don't attack the line of scrimmage enough when throwing on the run.
  20. I haven't rewatched it but from what I saw on Saturday it looks like Miller's lights went out. Probably got tingly arms and legs which was cause for all the stretcher stuff. I'm glad he is ok.
  21. it was mostly a joke because we tend to make average QB's look very good.
