  1. - It’s tough to win on the road in conference games but we make it so much harder with all the self-inflicted mistakes. - The 2-4-5 has been really good for us this year but really struggles against teams that want to run the ball. We brought in the 3rd DL finally and went back to stifling Minnesota. Cannot expect 2-4-5 to work against 3 of the remaining 4 opponents. - We usually leave a lot of points on the field, and we did, but it felt like Fleck left a lot on the field and gave us chances. I actually thought we might win because Minnesota bungled so many promising drives but alas. - Still see so much good where you can see what the vision/plan is but it’s not often enough and this was a bad loss. Need the bye week to set up this final run.
  2. Harbaugh cried after the game about it too LOL
  3. - Damion Daniels is going to get drafted this year and big hats off to him. He was taking two OLinemen with him every single play it seemed like and either still making a play or allowing someone else to. - The OLine looked better again and Frost got into his comfort zone calling plays and you can just see how fun things *could* be. But it’s just not often enough. - We look comfortable playing physical finally. Michigan hits hard, we also hit hard. It was fun to watch. - Home games haven’t really been our issue. Must not come out flat against Minnesota, who had a week off and will be juiced.
  4. Daniels is all conference right? He’s destroying Michigan right now.
  5. Damion Daniels is going to get drafted this year, no question in my mind. His brother transferring here and whipping him into shape was so huge for our trajectory.
  6. Good post, I think along with cocky, he came in absolutely pissed off. I’m sure if he could do it over again, he would. I think the team and some coaches quit on Riley, and it was a terrible disaster of a year, but I think some of that got exaggerated. As an alum, hearing from other alums, he came in ready to kick everyone out of the program if that’s what it took. Very easy to understand why, especially hearing from the outside and some from the inside, he was pissed like all of us. But it probably did him no favors. All good, he’s definitely learning since he got here and things are trending up at least.
  7. I’m also wondering about coaches on that side of the ball. We nearly lost Fisher last offseason. Others have brought it up but Chins will definitely get interviews at the very least and would be safe to assume he brings a coach with him to be his DC if he does get a HC job. Our DLine coach is going to get looks as well. It’s a good problem to have, we’d rather have coaches that other teams want than coaches other teams don’t want. As long as we don’t lose them to lateral moves. But could make continuity tricky next year, especially if we make sweeping changes on the offensive side of the ball.
  8. Has a lot of potential to be a really fun night game!
  9. Defense fought hard to the bitter end, hats off to those guys. It was a very physical game and we looked up to the task, physically at least. The team cut down on the dumb penalties in the 2nd half, that was encouraging. Trey sums it up best in my opinion though.
  10. I feel like we are unstoppable around the 6 or under but anything else in the red zone is just a hilarious mixed bag mess.
  11. I think that’s part of why this week means a lot to me. I’m not going to say OU was overrated, they had a ton of talent and I think it’s silly to discredit our road effort by saying OU wasn’t as good as advertised. But, it felt like a Big10 vs Big12 matchup where it felt to me that despite the talent, they didn’t hit us like the rest of the Big10 does. I actually felt Buffalo was more physical. Nothing to quantify that so just my opinion and I could definitely be completely off-base. This week is going to be physical. Chins basically said the same thing where he expects a difficult matchup in a different way than OU. The rest of the season is going to be physical. Thankfully, we look more physical than years past so I’m hoping we are up for the test.
  12. Line back down to 3.5 on DraftKings. Kinda feels like some big money players were holding off and are now hammering Nebraska but just my opinion because 5 felt way too high.
  13. Anecdotal but feels like the opposite of Frost’s tenure here so far right? I feel like in previous years, we usually had a good start with scripted plays and then things bogged down.
  14. Seeing a lot of their fans say that we sound similar to them defensively, real solid everywhere but lacking an elite edge rusher. Like others have mentioned, it sounds like they have someone who can spy Martinez really well. I remember after we lost to Tucker, he essentially said in the post game “at halftime, we noticed their OLine and QB didn’t read or react well to simple stunts so we just kept sending it at them.” I think they’ll try to lean on interior pressure to mess with our timing again.
  15. Very scary, praying for a full and speedy recovery for Javin Wright.
  16. Line up to 5 on DraftKings. Thinking there’s some value in that now but maybe we are drained from the rivalry game. Tucker has Michigan State with an identity and they look good but I think our offense is much more refined now that Vokolek is back and we have some blocking at that spot. Excited for this week.
  17. I would have bet money that Martinez was going to be here this season and next but now I’m not so sure. Maybe I’m just being a homer but I’m seeing a lot of twitter takes about how Martinez outplayed Rattler Saturday, with a lesser supporting cast and against a much nastier edge rusher. Adrian has flaws but watching what Lamar Jackson did last night, I don’t see why Martinez can’t have some success in the NFL in the right landing spot. Lamar Jackson made a couple mistakes and didn’t really complete any pretty throws, he just made incredible play after incredible play and knew when to attack on the ground and when to make the pass. Now he’s in a completely special tier of playmaker at QB but it wouldn’t surprise me if Martinez shoots up some draft boards, especially if he continues to keep his TOs down and if we can string together some wins.
