  1. Side bet? It will be higher than 6.5. Your pissed off fandom says it will be 6.5 but in reality we know there are 6 relatively easy wins on the schedule so Vegas will be slightly above that.
  2. Lol, not at all. Been cheering them on since the late 70s. I just choose to not get caught up in the negative emotions. Let me ask you this. What do you think the Vegas over/under for wins will be? My guess is around 7.5. A lot of people on this board say they would take the under right now but guessing by summer, most would hesitate.
  3. The probability of us continuing to underperform is statistically very low. If you break down some of the individual areas last year we underperformed so much we set records doing it. It is also very unlikely for a team to lose as close as we have lost again in 2022. The stats say we will win a few of those next year. I don't think we will be great but we should easily be a 7-8 win team and could be a 9-10 win team.
  4. We were ahead in the game, no doubt. However, this is changing so fast I'm not sure anyone can really keep track. Money is coming from a lot of directions at every big school so keeping score is almost impossible. I do think our transfer success over the past weekend is an indication we are remaining competitive with other top schools. We don't sign the guys we have if we weren't winning some bids.
  5. Develop that walk on... She will be loyal. Nothing better than a well trained, and loyal, girlfriend.
  6. They will be in full rebuild mode, just like us. If I had to bet it right now I would pick us to win.
  7. Agree. When I go to games I always take kids along. There are enough drunk people as it is but they typically sober up as the games goes. With beer available there to keep the buzz going they will be a pain imo. You are probably right though, long lines will likely limit consumption.
  8. Just better seats. I honestly think beer is a bad idea but whatever.
  9. Meh... offseason headlines are a snooze
  10. If they catch some early momentum I can see us having a pretty good year with 8-10 wins. The schedule really is manageable. Oklahoma will be in massive rebuild mode, and we get them at home. Reasonable chance we can win that game. 6-0 or 5-1 over the first half and split the remaining feels possible. I'm going with 9-3 and Frost saves his job for the time being.
  11. Hard to judge the kid on that but I get your point. Maybe he just didn't fit there for whatever reason. Hopefully a fresh start is what he needs.
  12. A 3 star kid with virtually no collegiate game experience deserves it's own thread?
  13. Makes complete sense to leave a long summary on something you didn't watch as it obviously should have supported your opinion... smh. I wasn't interested in either team but watched because I thought it might be a great game. Glad I did. Plenty of cool story lines and a lot of great, very physical, football.
  14. For starters, Adrian was way better than most will ever remember him. It will take a special QB, and circumstances, to break his records. Casey is not light years ahead of him. However, Casey is a great next option with an intriguing past that gives us all hope. We can be really optimistic without crapping on the guy he is replacing. Adrian gave us his all. He played through a lot. He deserves our respect imo. Gbr
  15. One thing to consider in this argument is the athletes we recruited and their through the early 90s. Nebraska recruited at a very high level for a very long time and had a distinct advantage. Regardless of how we recruit now, those massive advantages will never be the same. Guys like Saban know this so have traditions offense to modern spread looks to keep up.
  16. Because we could get him here for nothing... Smh. Seriously man
  17. Posting under the influence is rarely a good idea... Unless you are arguing about a punter who obviously has no future here. Then it's ok.
  18. Agree. With continued effort, he appears to be a guy that can help us win games down the road when we need him.
  19. At the mid point of the season, he knew he couldn't run the whole offense. I believe he understands why. I also think he believes he can win the job next year based on a few things I have heard. That's why I'm really not sure what he will do. Some of the lack of opportunities in the past are on him and he knows that.
  20. One thing you are missing... He knows why he wasn't given the opportunities sooner. The onus was on him. I don't know what he will do for sure but if he leaves, I don't think it will be for those reasons.
  21. I'm on the fence regarding Logan. The kid put in a lot of work this year and looked pretty dang good against Iowa. If Purdy comes, it increases the likelihood he transfers but if not, he is one play away from being the guy next season. Ask yourselves this, if he plays the same game against Iowa but we win because the defense stepped up, would you see the situation differently? My guess is many Nebraska fans would. There is an obvious gap between him and CT but he would be a pretty solid #2 option imo.
