  1. They will never run a playoff larger than 8 schools. You don't need to in FBS. Conferences play each other. In D-3 and D-2 don't. In D-3 more than half of the schools don't belong in the playoff either. My son plays at U of Rochester. Their conference isn't good enough to have their representivie belong in the national playoffs. They get crushed every year. My big thing is that I want every game to count. Every game to feel like a playoff. To the point of ISU, yest they were essentially eliminated because of 2 loses. I want the season to mean something. In the NFL, teams will rest their starters the last weekend if they are in. The NBA? They rest guys all of the time. I don't want CFB to turn into that. I enjoy the arguements and the discussions. It is what makes the sport and message boards. How many years can your argue more than 4-6 teams in the playoffs? Teams that have a resume to be there?
  2. I guess I know there is no chance of them being in the top 4, nor should they be. It really is a P-3 this year. Actually you would have to work hard to tell me the Pac-12 should be involved in the last few years as well. I am purely saying that it is really hard for the Sunbelt conference to convince me they deserve a seat at the top 4. They teams in the top 4 now, are the top 4. As far as I am concerned the P-4 or 5 should just break away. They will never allow the others to be part of it anyway. Any of those teams can beat a P-4/5 in a one game senerio, but could never survive in a P-4/5 conference.
  3. I think ISU would have no problems beating CC, but Cincinnati would be a dog fight. ISU was my pandemic team because the Huskers weren't playing. I have watched every game. They would easily beat the Ragin Cajuns in a rematch. ISU looked like NU against Illinois in that game. ISU has a good QB and a great RB. Their D has gotten tough. Can they beat OU again? We will have to see.
  4. Thread Jack! But it is about the McRib so all is forgiven!
  5. Kevin Warren has to do it. They are such idiots they have to go against what they said, because everything they do is the exact opposite of what makes sense. The B1G offices are in the same ivory towers that the University presidents are in. They are all clowns. With everything they knew in July they should have started earlier and built in several bye weeks, not cancel the season. We all knew in the back of our minds that FB would be back. The B1G always tries to out think themselves.
  6. I wonder if any of these guys missing are Covid issues? I am suprised we have not heard of any Covid issues on the Huskers team.
  7. @MyBloodIsRed16 I think Harbaugh is the best fit for the Lions. It bails Michigan out and Harbaugh wouldn't have to move far, if at all. Michigan wants Matt Campbell. That is what my local unhappy Michigan fans want.
  8. I bet Moore sits out this week. No sense getting hurt when you got the draft ahead in a crazy year.
  9. I don't like Fleck, but I have respected the job he has done. I get sick of the "row the boat" thing, but his kids have bought in. And whereever I saw the thing about the Lions looking at him? I am not sure his schtick would work in the NFL.
  10. I can't see us making a bowl game. Big Ten bowls seem to be the ones cancelling.
  11. @jaws Agree on the talent in Ohio. I am in Clevleand area. I am always amazed at how much talent there is just in Cuyahoga County. A couple of years ago there were over a 100 kids with D-1 offers in the NE Ohio area. Of course that counts Akron and Youngstown as well. Crazy.
  12. Umm, you probably can add Nebraska to that list. I hope we have started to fix things and continue, but this is was/is a problem at Nebraska.
  13. We need to start a "Restore the Order" movement and it starts with Minny. We need to knock them back into irrevelance. It is our fault they rose up, it needs to be us that takes them out.
  14. I was told be a friend who used to coach D 1 BB that this years seniors who return don't count against the numbers next year. So if you have 3 returning seniors next year your scholly numbers would be 16 for one year, then back to 13. Is that the same for FB?
  15. We will have to match TD's now. Chin starting to out think himself. D has been on the field a lot.
  16. When you dominate the LOS, good things happen!
  17. I think if the B1G was smart they would have seen what everybody else did and start the schedule earlier, not later. It reminds me of all of the big school districts around here that started remote and were going to start back in person during flu season. What were we thinking? Too bad we don't have the Leaders and Legends divisions anymore. That would have been the only place you could have used the word Leader in the B1G.
  18. I didn't read this thread so I apologize in advance if this has been said... Scott needs to figure out who Scott is first. He needs to figure out what is important to him and his program. He has lost a lot of confidence in himself and others around him. He needs to figure out a rock solid foundation on how he wants to program and go with it. He has a lot work to do to get where we all want it to be. It will take time once Scott gets it figured out.
  19. Yes, my point is we have the talent to beat these teams now. It is our fault NW, Iowa and Minnesota are relevant. We have the talent NOW, to beat these teams. The dysfunction of this team leads me to believe we will go 0-2 and have to play PSU again. I hope they prove me wrong. I guess for me the "what if" is what if we actually played well.
  20. What if... we had beat NW, Illinios and Iowa like we should have. We have the talent, but we seem to be dysfunctional on Saturdays. I am guessing we are dysfunctional during the week as well. HCSF needs to spend more time addressing the issues that haunt this team than the officials and the clapping. HCSF is starting to embarrass himself and the FB program.
