  1. meh...... my feeling ever since they hired a career .500 coach and expected something better
  2. well had we NOT fired Pellini, and basically had him on the hot seat the year before maybe there would be more depth now based on what? his prior record?
  3. well you sucked for it, and yes it would be irrational to think UFC wasn't the better team if at the end of the season they were ranked higher
  4. we'll see - UFC has 3 quality opponents they have to beat and if they do, they will be ranked higher than Michigan this year. lets see if those 2 things happen. going from an 0-12 team to even 6-7 was a small miracle, and yes they did out hit Michigan, other than that obviously we have a difference of opinion- and your opinion happens to include that you think my opinion is irrational....ok
  5. obviously you didn't watch the game, 2 turn-overs, some blocked kicks, certainly helped Michigan with the margin of victory, and yes they out gained them in total yards, but held them to a 3.8 yd rushing average- my statement only seems absurd by the margin of victory- Haurbaugh knew he was lucky in those regards and Scotts statement was correct
  6. to be fair to Riley the guy who set those expectations is gone- but obviously when going 5 years without winning less than 9 games is what you walk into, even if Riley was asleep when Eichorst said those things he had to understand the expectations......that or he's as dim as he looks slummed over on the sidelines
  7. LSU and Tennessee seem to be the same situation as Nebraska- delusional fans who expect immediate results, yeah LSU is more relevant than Nebraska, probably Tennessee too and they might offer more $$ but, Nebraska is his home and as with all successful coaches, hes not thinking he'll fail no matter where he goes. BTW- there is no doubt in my mind that UCF is a top 25 team- and from watching UCF win big over Maryland and Memphis, and the fact that there are only about 3 teams left on the schedule that have a chance to beat them, he will have to make a decision about all this by the end of the season
  8. One thing that will not be that much of an issue is money- unlike what the masses may think, money isn't the main thing to getting SF to coach at Nebraska
  9. anything can happen but like mike rileys over-all record, Lee has a bad history at Tulane and here, so I'm not sold on Lee NOT throwing a ton of picks- especially against a good team, which honestly, I'm not sure you can say we've actually played a real good team this year- this will be the first
  10. One exception on the Frost comparison: Frost wasn't a walk on
  11. It was interesting if you watched the game, Scott was right, of course Harbaugh had to defend his players but UCF probably would have won that game 2 out of 3 times and if you're watching the game between Memphis and UCF, the same Memphis that beat UCLA, the announcers are basically a Scott Frost commercial for moving on to the next big time program- in December- and man is UCF well coached and they run an offense that is unlike our explosive based on RPO / RRO Dam I hope we get him and his staff
  12. I love when people use the phrase "throwing money" at a problem, or coach and thinking that will automatically solve a problem- They are probably the ones that max out their credit card limit.
  13. the fruit is rotten- sure offer guys who will never qualify and guys who use us a marker till someone better offers us and you'll get a top 25-30 rating which is about what Riley's done so far- why does everyone think he's actually doing any better than the guy before him? good coaches usually only take a year or two to take a losing team and start winning....i.e. Scott Frost
  14. according to the recruiting services we historically always have higher rated classes than both Iowa and Wisconsin, so that can't be the only issue
  15. look this only works if he will continue playing Lee, because this offense isn't built on running the ball, Ozigbo shouldn''t be playing because he isn't a good blocker or receiver, also this all assumes that Lee doesn't opt out to the draft at the end of this year- yes, I grant you it all seems a little far fetched
  16. Define "retire" because there is no way he's giving up the millions we will owe him- he came here because this is his 401k we have to fire his saggy butt and by still playing Lee he's trying to retire early
  17. Riley is a great coach he just didn't have the support in Oregon or San Diego- when he got the support, look what he did- i.e. Canada So let's widen & lengthen the field and give him support!!! but short of that I say he'll win at least 9 games this season and with Langs at the helm and hopefully they can talk Lee out of going into the NFL early next year Riley will bring us a big 10 title. I support Riley 99.9%
  18. dam you got me, I thought you wee being serious
  19. Langs belongs in high school- and as Riley found out n San Diego this offense was built to lose games in the NFL
  20. Scott might/probably will lose today, but looking at their schedule a 8-4 or 9-3 season looks probable - not bad for a second year head coach coming into the mess he inherited
  21. should have included winning and charisma those adjectives could only be applied to one of the two coaches
