  1. Dude these refs are flat out embarrassing themselves worse than us somehow. Purdue would be whooping us either way, but I’m wondering how these dudes are reffing at this level.
  2. Mario with the rare double whammy of not being able to develop a QB/backup and not recruiting a 4-star QB a couple hours from Lincoln.
  3. His team's YPC were top 30 his 2 years at TCU. Nebraska hasn't been in the top 30 the last 3 years. IDK if it will be better, but maybe let it play out?
  4. He was at smaller schools up until TCU in 2020. So getting 3 stars isn't terrible. They got a 5-star RB his first year at TCU (Applewhite wasn't listed as the lead recruiter). This year Applewhite was the the lead recruiter for 4-star back Ajay Allen who was committed to TCU but was a decommit after the coaching change.
  5. Seems like Applewhite is the guy. Ton of our players and coaches just started following him on twitter.
  6. There is a couple teams on baseballinsider looking for a series, but most have filled their openings. UC Davis, Western Illinois and Nebraska seem to be the only teams trying to fill that date. I'm sure Nebraska is thinking RPI and doesn't want to fill the weekend with any warm bodies.
  7. San Diego St was booked the weekend they were suppose to be coming to Lincoln, so who knows if we will be at home that weekend or even have games.
  8. Why the heck was Moos forced out?!?!?! **A Couple Months Later**
  9. This will be the route I go with then, Switching parties again. Honestly no reason to switch back if this is the case...
  10. Nothin' better than a warm Friday afternoon in February, spring is close, windows down in the car, husker baseball on the radio. Can't wait!
  11. Officially a Republican so I can vote in the primary. Really have no interest in living in a state where Herbster is governor.
  12. Not saying Hoiberg will get fired. But definitely deserves to be fired at this point.
  13. Sipple made it sound like it was a done deal with Purdy. Yeah I wouldn't see surprised to see Smothers be shredding the Sun Belt to end his career. Also wouldn't be shocked if he ends up the guy here. I definitely respect Smothers attitude. He doesn't seem like a dude that constantly needed his ego stoked like the McCaffrey fam.
  14. Oh, I think he would definitely have options, but they'd be like Chubba's options. Go to a P5 school to compete for the back-up job and be the next guy at QB. Also he and his fam like Frost, so I think if he feels like he's the guy after Thompson he will stay, if he feels like Chubba (or whoever) is gonna be the guy after Thompson - that's when he pulls the trigger on transferring. Just my thought.
  15. For the people that think Smothers will transfer...Do you think he will be able to walk into a situation better than where he is? I think his options are, walk into a P5 situation much like Nebraska, or go to a group of 5 where he will be the guy. I think he will transfer only when (if) he see's his name below Purdy on the depth chart.
  16. Man I wouldn't understand that at all. Lebby got his guy in Gabriel, a guy that excelled in his offense. CT left Texas to start and he would be going against Gabriel who has a massive head start. But that would be the most Nebraska thing ever so CT to OU will probably happen.
  17. I think Williams is gonna have a bunch of huge NIL packages to choose from. Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, USC. Will be interesting how it plays out.
  18. I feel like they would wait out Williams before accepting a commit from Thompson. I've also seen multiple Auburn fans say they've heard nothing about the AU coaching staff going after Thompson.
  19. Another thing I hate about covid. Toddler woke up this morning with a cough and slight fever. I burn PTO, keep her home from daycare, go spend $60 on some rapid tests, test the entire family, we're all negative. That's a massive pain in the a$$ for what turned out to be nothing.
  20. Auburn seems firmly in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes. Also a Mizzou writer said they were not in pursuit of Thompson. I like our chances too.
  21. Just posted in the NIL thread about A&M, it was reported they spend up to 30 mil on their #1 class this year. And it was a highly coordinated effort between coaches and boosters. NIL will be tied to winning in the coming years, guys like Harbaugh and Jimbo know that.
  22. There is a user on OU's 247 board that's a verified staff member that reported some crazy stuff Texas A&M boosters did to sign the #1 class this year. According to the OUinsider staff member, A&M was highly organized on the NIL front. They spent 25-30 Million Dollars on the recruiting class. They set the deals up as multi-year deals, so if the players transfer, they lose out on a portion of the money. More details in the article below. https://brobible.com/sports/article/texas-am-recruiting-class-nil-money/
  23. I've read he is using this leverage to up their NIL program. Would be a smart move on his behalf.
