  1. Those teams are decent at football. Welcome to the B1G. If you lose to all the good/decent teams on the schedule you’re probably one of the turds sitting at the bottom of the bowl.
  2. You're either wrong a lot or a troll. I can't really tell.
  3. Saban went 7-6 his first year....so now "Year 5 is Year 3, and even Saban went 7-6 in his first year"....even better.
  4. Year 5 is Year 3, and Saban was bad in Year 1. This is now my favorite Keep Frost take.
  5. Frost only has time to coddle one QB. Two would be asinine. No one has time to coddle two.
  6. Well for one, he had the balls to fire and revamp his offensive staff after one year, and it seemed to work swimmingly.
  7. I mean your second point is reality. Smothers knows the playbook but isn't good enough. Haarberg *might be* good enough but is still learning the in's and out's. They don't have a good plan after AM, and refused to bring in anyone to directly compete with him. It's damning for Verdu and even more damning for Frost.
  8. Still needs to...When your coach is still trying to learn how to coach in the B1G, 4 years after starting to coach in the B1G. That's an issue.
  9. IDK if anyone heard Gary Sharp yesterday, but he referenced a convo with a source that's "at practice everyday".... Gary: Tell me about Smothers Insider: Not gonna happen, not ready, not the guy. Offensive staff hopes Haarberg is the guy, but he hasn't developed quick enough.
  10. Wins can save his job. This year wasn't about keeping games close, or getting a grad transfer QB, or getting a new OL coach. This was the year we had to prove we could beat Illinois, beat Purdue, beat Minnesota, beat one of the West gatekeepers in Wisconsin and Iowa - and it's looking like we flat out aren't good enough to do it. It's nothing personal against Frost. I don't wish bad things for him. You tried, you weren't good enough (barring a miracle), the time is about here to let someone else try. All this last ditch effort s#!t at the end of year 4 is like trying to fix a wheel-less Bike by putting a new seat on it.
  11. All good arguments if Frost could manage 5-7 or 6-6. Fact is if he can’t meet us halfway and goes 3-9 or 4-8 he really doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt, it’s just more of the same s#!t.
  12. If we lose 2-3 more games, IDK how they could even possibly justify keeping him. 2-8 or 1-9 against power 5 schools is an auto-firing at Nebraska.
  13. Is it surprising? We all watch this team every week...We consistently lose in special teams, turnovers, and in the redzone. Thats how you completely negate everything else, and lose games in the B1G.
  14. And Dirk actually asks hard questions from time to time, and fans hate him because he's mean to Frost haha.
  15. Annoying maybe, but our media is SOFT. You could be coming off 3 losing seasons and be 3-6 and Sip will still be talking about how good you looked in a loss a month ago. Media should have been asking Frost hard questions after s#!t performances in year 2.
  16. "Who would come here", directly translates to "I don't want Frost fired, but have no real reason to support him staying".
  17. Damn good coach. College Football has changed. Nebraska has been a unicorn giving Frost the patience we have thus far.
  18. We will agree to disagree. Saban and Carrol were NFL “washouts”
  19. Bad GM but Hopkins was gonna hold out and was bringing his baby mamas to the practice facility. NFL players don’t tolerate complete control, but it works in college. He also won 4 division titles, and back to back division titles with Hoyer and Oswieler as his QBs. Being fired from the NFL means nothing about success at the college level. He has flaws but like I said checks many boxes. We will not have our pick of the litter.
  20. They nothing in common except they both were NFL head coaches.
  21. I said it weeks ago and I’ll say it again. Bill O’Brien should get one of the first calls. He checks so many boxes. Won in the B1G. Won at a school on sanctions that experienced a mass exodus. Not a coach still learning the ropes. NFL connections that will help him recruit. Coaching connections that will allow him to build a competent staff. Not tied to a staff of beginners he feels the need to bring along.
  22. If Purdue was the death blow then OSU has the recipe to be the funeral. Complete with views of a 1/3 full memorial stadium and Fox announcers delivering the eulogy to a national audience. Hope the boys can get up because it has the potential to be UGLY.
  23. Next guy will look incredible if he just consistently makes bowl games. That part might be a blessing in the long run.
  24. yep, go .500 one time in 4 years and he is probably safe. He had to clear an insanely low bar, and couldn't.
  25. Confirmed what my eyes having been telling me. I like Frost, appreciative of his time as a player and coach. His time is done here. No need to overthink it.
