  1. Wife's birthday, and my daughter has an outdoor dance recital. Hoping to catch most of it in between the latter and before we leave for a mountain retreat for the former. Or I might turn my phone off and try and watch a replay without hearing the score, but that never works. Food will be an afterthought, but I'll bring some beer.
  2. I get your arguments, but until we get an actual game to discuss I get the other side too. It'll have been 11 months and we didn't even get a spring game. There is nothing but speculation off of some media interviews and some 2 minute twitter videos to talk about so we fill the time with whatever pops up.
  3. QB A vs B. Without google, tell me who you pick?
  4. You just had to say that outloud didn't ya?
  5. That actually makes a lot of sense. I never thought of it from that angle. Like the Peter principle in the business world "promoted to the level of incompetence".
  6. Well what talk have you seen speculated? And are you willing to re-open rumorville to discuss it?
  7. So you love ancient history talk, I understand why you hang around the Nebraska board then. Two peas in a really old, dilapidated pod.
  8. I mean, technically they are the Big 10, NU is in the Big 14, and that west coast conference is the Pac 14. Probably could just go with: B1G PAC Oklahoma and friends
  9. If you change the names, you're almost describing Nebraska also at this moment in time. Be careful my friend, haha.
  10. Seriously. The best fans in the country can laugh at themselves. You enjoyed the good, you don't get to be a cry baby now that it's not going our way.
  11. I feel confident saying they'll never make the college football playoff in the next 10 years. I'll resign my account if they do. The 3 Badger fans around here feel free to screen shot this.
  12. Close to a 3rd of those have been over the Aggies. Most overrated team every single year.
  13. Just wait until next week, if they lost to UT and were 0-3 in conference play? Whooooo-e. Pitchforks headed for Riley's house. I watched both of the losses and their defense just doesn't want it. Not interested in putting extra effort into tackling.
  14. You're watching a different movie than I am friend. His name is on hot seat lists this year, (as is Frost for what that's worth), but Herman didn't win a title at Texas as a player to give him extra leash. They don't take kindly to losing to TCU and being irrelevant nationally with their level of resources and program support, just like Nebraska. There really isn't an excuse to not be great at Texas where you can build a top 15 recruiting class every year without leaving the state. If they go 6-4 or 5-5 this year I could see him getting fired, they get OU next week and would be back at .500 with an L. They also just escaped Tech last week in OT and gave up 50+. That's my long winded way of saying I disagree they are on the right track, haha.
  15. And maybe you should actually read the posters handles before responding
  16. Under. Number of wins Nebraska gets in 2020 - 4
  17. Can we just play a game already? The lengths people are going to find something to talk about is beyond peak offseason. 40 years in the desert without Husker football. Oh look, a Runza emoji.
  18. KJ Costello just set the SEC single game passing record in both Leach's first game and Bo's first game (back). Entertaining game.
  19. Agree but I'm coming around to the schedule setup. This is a huge opportunity for momentum and could really be the springboard this team needs to finally have confidence. Play Ohio State tough, beat Wisconsin and NW and see what happens at home versus PSU. 2-2 any way you get there is a huge step forward. The only bad scenario I see is 0-4 honestly, 1-3 is expected and would be ok barring 3 blow out losses. Looking for positive momentum and player growth in the first month.
  20. That would be true if they listed just 1 WR spot but they list 3, and he's co #2 at one of them. The other two are outside spots with players all 6'1"+. He probably will only see the field inside at 5'9"-ish. He could be that 4th WR sure but it means more than you're alluding to IMO. Regardless, I hope he does well and I’ll be keeping an eye on TCU.
  21. I agree he did well with what he was given, and was a solid coach. The point being raised that I think is hard to overlook, is things were moving in the wrong direction. He would have done better than Riley, but I still think we would have ended up flirting with .500 had he stuck around for 4 more years and been responsible for recruiting. Would we have gone 4-8? Probably not but I don't know if people would have been happy when he started slipped from 9-4 to 7-5 etc.
