  1. Love the list, but you and I have different memories of Roy Helu. I like speed backs that aren't afraid of contact, and big backs who aren't afraid of contact. Pretty much I want the entire team to be physical.
  2. I'm with you. I want all the bodies possible out there. Forget redshirting if he already has the size, go recruit some more.
  3. I think the #19 is significant. I would bet those are it.
  4. Ah, gotcha. I actually have 5 buddies coming on Thursday for this game, we're all renting a house near Estes Park, and we don't have tickets yet. Going down day of/watching for big price drops right before. If we don't get in, we'll go to a bar. I don't think I'd do something similar at most B1G schools out east though.
  5. Yep. I work in Boulder and no one (95%) gives a crap about CU. NFL is king around here.
  6. I understand abot rival or no and preseason rankings, but how do you feel about 2 qbs on the field at the same time?!
  7. It's not measured by record alone, but in competitiveness, toughness, reducing mistakes, etc. I think we all agree on that. However, this team was a couple bounces away from 6-6 last year with a harder schedule, new coaches/system and a freshman QB. To say 6-6 would be success this year means in year 2, easier schedule, better conditioning, year 2 in system etc. they produced the same result. That is why folks feel the record must improve and to a good degree, along with thise other factors to have a successful year.
  8. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=211784314&DB_OEM_ID=100&Q_SEASON=2019 More than one person can have the same number if they are on opposite sides of the ball.
  9. I fully agree, but the rankings at the time seem to stand out in people's memories more than where things stand at the end of the season.
  10. He still isn't 190, but if they don't ask him to bang inside all day then that is fine. He won't hold up if the do. We have Mills for that, plus the occasional change of pace with smaller guys/Adrian.
  11. Mavric's win total stats are correct, but Bo lost a fair amount to lower ranked teams, (at the time of the game), which is what you're remembering. 2009: #15 Nebraska loses to unranked Texas Tech 2010: #9 Nebraska loses to #18 A&M 2011: #17 Nebraska loses by 28 to #20 Michigan 2012: #16 Nebraska loses to unranked UCLA #14 Nebraska loses by 39 to unranked Wisconsin 2013: #25 Nebraska loses to unranked Minnesota 2014: #11 Nebraska loses by 35 to #22 Wisconsin #21 Nebraska loses to unranked Minnesota
  12. This is an interesting one. 100% CB to Texas for a kid from Texas, including Wiltfong, and 3 top insiders from other schools. Yet he commits to Auburn. He either hides it well or....................
  13. It depends on the quality of the stream. HD will be around 1 GB per hour yes, but lower quality will use less. I don't know where you live/camp but I would love to be able to do that. Camping in the mountains around here means no service, which is great in a different way but not when Nebraska plays!
  14. It would also mean starting 5-0, but finishing 3-4. Beating 3 of the top teams on the schedule but still losing to 4 others down the stretch. It looks like he just expects eggs to be laid on the road no matter the opponent and he thinks NW has our number still.
  15. Ask again when we get to page 47 in this thread by November.
  16. If we go 8-4 with losses to OSU, Wisky, Iowa and one of NW/MN/PU, with 3 or 4 of those coming at home, that would be severely disappointing rather than just a bit. If folks would still be happy with that simply for the 8 wins but having a losing record (or barely winning) at home, then I don't know if I can help them.
  17. I think that is where he is headed, but I think he would only need to be seen as a top 4 QB in that year's draft to leave (unless he just really loves college football). NFL teams will draft guys based on production or potential, you don't have to have a Heisman or be on a great team. Remember Tanner Lee? Ha. Last year Daniel Jones went at 6 from Duke and he didn't set the world on fire there at all. Josh Allen from Wyoming went top 10 two years ago, etc. I just think this year sets up the best for a big year and then we might have better teams that lose more in coming years with the harder schedule. 2020 still sets up ok but 2021 is going to be a gauntlet if NU isn't fully loaded by then. Hopefully they are.
  18. Being fast doesn't make you a good quarterback. If Martinez gets injured I can assure you Bunch won't be the next one up. There was a reason he flirted with the transfer portal. I honestly think they'd seriously consider putting McCaffrey in depending in how bad the injury was.
