    Can I reasonably replace my picture window with an operational one?  It seems pretty standard but it does have an arch.  I hate that my front window doesn't open.

      I'm sure there is something that can be done with it. Just have to search out the right fit. I doubt the arch portion can be made to open/close. Prob have to do a fixed arch (or get rid of it) and just have the lower portion operational.

      How old is the existing window?  Is it a name brand like Pella or Anderson?  If so contact a dealer of that brand and have him check the opening size.  An arch window is mulled (attached) to the frame of the window unit below it  and it is possible but not real easy to take them apart and reattach them.  If you decide on a new lower window unit it could be 2 wide with both operational or 3 or 4 wide with the outer 2 operational. What is the width roughly from inside of the casing to inside of the casing?
