Proud parent moment- as I was reheating my leftover am coffee at 5pm, 13 year old son says “that’s like drinking beer at 7 am-why would you do that?” I told him they both have their place and you’ll find out in college.

  I have started to like 11am games especially if I am going to Lincoln. It is fun getting up early and starting the party.

  11am games for me are a close second behind a big game at night. I rarely go to games anymore so for me the 11am slot is terrific. I get to watch Nebraska and then get on with my day.

  And Alexandria is the Nebraska one. Down by Hebron. Pretty place. Would have never have heard of it had it not been for the yearly road rally. A road rally is a treasure hunt by car/truck. Most trucks had picnic tables in the bed full of beer drinkers. They provided a series of clues that you would go find out on the back roads. First one back to the bar and the vehicle that drove it in the fewest miles were the winners. As clear as yesterday I remember coming in last in time and distance. We finished in 4 hours- the winner 1.5. The distance was 13 miles- we were 60
  
  good times. Wore out the Weezer and Better Than Ezra tapes I think.
