I've flipped. I thought it was possible. After that half, NOPE, NOT POSSIBLE. Right now in my eyes, a bowl game is iffy. This is a crock of sh#t. Offense and special teams wasted the best defensive effort we have seen or will see all year. That aint happening again in the second half. This is another meltdown coming.

It really doesn't matter if we win this game ... it's the same pile of crap that we are told will be fixed but never is.

Husker_x, Pelini and the players both said this prior to the game this week.

Training fo a marathon. Have an 18 miles and then a 20 and 22. All part of the process to make it.

  3. Signed up for the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa. My first marathon is in 39 days. Excited!

Good luck. I've been giving some consideration to trying the half-marathon during the OKC Memorial Marathon in April. I guess you can say so I can mark it off my bucket list.

  4. skersfan ... echo (echo) echo ... I am with you.
  5. They have that about right ... I don't think I'd have OSU even that high.
  6. I'll bump my previous statement ... this kid should stay away from Husker Nation.
  7. Reading Huskerboard this morning ... think I'll not respond at all.

  8. I was/am still a big fan of this kid.
  9. You don't turn the ball over for two TD's and win in the U. Too bad.
  10. Both the Penn St. and Northwestern team I saw play today could beat any team on the B1G on any given Saturday. It was a great game and hard fought. Anyone that plays that hard and can play mistake free can beat us or any other teams. This isn't the same Penn St. team that started the season. I'm surprised almost everyone in this thread won't give them any "love" for what these kids and coaches have fought thru. I was impressed with both teams today ... actually, very impressed. I love the "heart" and "passion" I saw out on that field today. Nice college football game.
  11. This Penn St/Northwestern game has been a real treat!

YES. So weird to be rooting for PSU, but we need NW to get saddled with a loss. Big TD right there...

Both of these games will be tough wins for us. For as bad as B1G football has been this year. These two teams made me proud today to be in this conference.

  12. I have no doubt the UCLA loss hurt several key recruits ... he is one of them. Won't surprise me at all to see him stay in Cali.
  13. Really surprised by this. Looks like he fits in the SEC better then I thought.
  14. Cant wait to see how this lie detector thing works for the debate ... http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/03/obama-and-romney-to-face-real-lie-detector-test-during-debate/

Can't wait to see what this lie detector tells us. I think Romney has a moral and ethical core to his life ... he may not have all the answers ... but maybe he will be truthful and restore some respect to the office ... that is ... if the 47% freebie crowd doesn't get Obama re-elected.

  15. Not enough meat on the bones for a great eval at the point for me. The only game we had up to this weekend was UCLA ... what was the grade in that game? The rest were against teams that we were suppose to beat and we had better athletes. We played a dominate two quarters against Wisconsin ... D+ or C- for the other two quarters. Give us a B+ to A- for the two good quarters. For me, I was pleased with those two Wisconsin quarters. If we can make some holes and provide protection against OSU, Michigan and Michigan State then I will begin to make an opinion in the positive direction for this line. They certainly have my interest at this point.
  16. Hope is a dangerous thing ... I've moved on ...
  17. Outcome? ... I don't know ... but it sure is nice to have Huskerboard talking about this on a Monday instead of all the BOooooooing for 3-4 days after a loss and then finally moving on.
  18. Some great interaction here in this thread. Just wanted to say "thanks" for the good worded views ... this is why I come to Huskerboard ... this is what I want. Those I'm talking about know who you are.
  19. Agreed ... the night of ... the day after ... over time and thru the end of the season ... I don't. You said the word "perception" ... agreed ... I don't perceive OSU as anything, "great or not" worth saying Bo is "over the hump". Cause if we roll the B1G schedule ... which I don't think we do ... but if we do and we represent the B1G to play say a USC and we get rolled ... do you think the "perception" will be that is "over the hump"? I don't ... I see the rest of the country still viewing us as a good team who still need pieces to contend and we were lucky to win the games we won with the B1G being so bad. I'm not saying I necessarily believe that ... but I think that is the perception of the country.
  20. I didn't see the loss to UCLA this year as in the realm of big losses that OrderKindOfAlmostRestored stated ... and I don't see beating OSU as anykind of a signature win. UCLA isn't that great, we aren't that great ... and OSU isn't that great, I think overall the B1G's view of itself is ... whoever ends up taking this conference isn't gonna be crowned as anything great ... they just won more than anyone else. Now, if whoever comes out on top of the B1G goes into a big bowl game ... shows up and owns some SEC school or USC and is a "boss" ... then that will be Bo's signature win. I just don't think we beat any team in the B1G this year and make a "signature", "landmark" victory off of it ... the conference is just too weak. And FYI, I'm not debating here ... really enjoy and agree with the viewpoints of sd'kers and aspeedlin'.
  21. Chase was a Missouri boy and each circumstance is different for sure. I've only followed recruiting for 9-10 years ... my observations (no experience) are that when it comes to kids from California ... they will rate us a 9 or 10 on most of their visits ... but that just isn't enough to pull them from their roots and what is offerred closer to home ... as a general statement that is true. Thus, I don't believe Huskercat, your example, trumps anything. It's an example that is true regarding a Missouri kid. Personally, I don't think any view their is "wrong" ... just observations.
  22. Actually surprised to see the rated this high. I don't have us in the Top 25. OU still ranked too high.
