Always love it when a fan of another team comes back ... even if to gloat. Hey, lots of "fringe" fans here ... I'm sure there was lots of "jaja" on both sides. Do realize ... there are alot of trolls that come our way. I do believe the Huskers were better then your Bruins. I said 60-14 ... given the "game notes" that would need to occur. In the end, your team played much better in all phases of the game ... and our Huskers certainly did many of the "things" a losing team needs to do. I will not take anything away from UCLA be discussing those points. I responded to your post to congratulate you on a good win. Well deserved!

Just take a look at the number of posts from the "meltdown" crowd ... it is usually a low number (it's a GENERAL statement). Big wins and bad losses bring out the "meltdown" crowd at those times. These same people won't be here posting week in and week out ... cause they are the fair-weathered fans. Thankfully ... they go away.

Hey TM wasn't that bad tonight. You can't stroke him last week and dog him this week. It's only two games. Keep moving forward TM and all the best to JS!

You gotta love what they did tonight. May their fans come onto our board and gloat ... we sucked it up tonight. Very disappointing. No meltdown here however, we are a Top 25 team and we will be fine.

Lets not forget that we must play solid, mistake free football. We do the small things and basics we roll this team.

Nice thoughts and write-up Wisconsin33. Enjoyed the read. I'll have to swallow the B1G "pill" you have ... that isn't a slam. I hope my "sense" changes over time.

"Trap" is probably not the word. I would say the word would be "upset". That is a possibility. However, we are early in the season and hungry. No "trap" or "upset". I expect us to steam role this team 60-14. We need a big win for many reasons. Get 'ur done!

I find myself pulling for the Big 12 teams, the Big 8 specifically. I never liked the Big 10 teams and felt it was usually overrated. Now, even with us in it, I believe it to be weaker then the other major conferences ($EC, Big 12 and PAC 12), least this year. I agree that we fit in the conference, just can't root for the other tram. Also not a fan of the commish's view on playoffs and I have never liked the Rose Bowl. Hope that things get better in this conference and I think the B1G gets better over the next couple of years.

1. Michigan 2. Ohio State 3. Nebraska 4. Michigan State 5. Wisconsin 6. Purdue 7. Illinois 8. Northwestern 9. Iowa 10. Minnesota 11. Penn. St. 12. Indiana I don't drop Michigan at all with their performance against Bama. To me ... it just shows everyone how weak the B1G is. Overall, if you look at how the B1G performed in it's first week it was rather weak, that is, looking at the scores and who they played. I have Mich and OSU just inside the Top 20 and the Huskers around 25 ... no one else gets any love.

For me this needs to be 60-14 kind of score to make a recruiting statement ... and I think we will.

Ya that ^^^^! This is bigger on my report card then any grade given to any position. This is what I was looking for and for a "first game" ... I was pleased. It's a start.

To draw conclusions like this off of the first game of the season tells the board a whole lot more about you then it does the state of Husker football. Nothing more to add here other then this is what I expect from a "first post". You have nothing to do with the "spirit of Bob Devaney" ... he would never make this kind of "first post".

Personally, I don't think that kind of statement brings about a "good" discussion. You know I didn't say that and you also know I'm not a newbie to the board ... we play the season to see who is the best. You obviously believe the Huskers are better then the ranking ... I see it differently. But please ... don't put words in my mouth (and yes, I see the sarcasm). Grant another Husker fan who has been true to this board for 6-7 years a little bit of room to disagree with you and others on the board. I just don't think the B1G is all that good as a conference ... I didn't think highly of the conference when we were in the Big 12 and since we've joined it it has actually gotton weaker then traditionally.

Full? I don't think they are ever "full" ... it's a new animal ... U$C and the $EC have different rules then everyone else.

I do not care. Good line protection, nice routes, catch the Damn ball, YAC, no mistakes, hold onto ball ... all important.

It's both teams first game ... lets not draw the "final" conclusion to anything yet. Whatever happens in this game means nothing when we play UCLA ... humbly submitted. We have yet to see our team show up, nor play on the road ... nor do we know if we are lay the ball on the carpet four times ... have 2-3 interceptions ... execute without penalties ... do or not do all the small things. At present ... UCLA is winning a football game ... that is all.

Sounds like the ship has sailed on this kid ... and frankly, I agree ... he doesn't seem like that great of a talent ... and then you add in the "tude" ... it just isn't worth the risk. Good luck at UNC young lad ... and in life.
