Last I saw they were #1 in the nation in passing yards and #101 in rushing. Not saying he couldn't change but that doesn't look like a good fit for the B1G. And they have a 25/6 TD/Int too whereas NU typically has closer to a 1/1 ratio.

Has TA confided in you that these are his 2 finalists? Please share what other inside info he my have imparted to you. I'm sure we'd all love to get the inside story.

I find this to be very plausible. Even though there are clouds of smoke about Rhule I'm not sure I really buying into it. Leipold seems like a more likely candidate to me.

I'm going to wait until I see the results of this hire a few years down the road but I realize most will pass final judgement immediately and many will go into full attack mode before the guy even starts if their favorite isn't hired. And compared to the parade of clowns that passed through AD position since Byrne left in 2002 TA looks like the best AD in the history of college sports.

Well, that would be a big step up from where we've been the last six years!

Not arguing that our O isn't terrible but some of those numbers reflect the fact we have been playing top 5 defenses in the nation for those quarters. We knew at the start of the season the second half was going to be brutal and it has turned out to be even worse than we feared.

If Illinois wins out they win the div. but they play Mich so not too likely. If Iowa wins out against Minn & NU, + Ill. loses a game, Iowa wins. If Ill & Iowa both lose a game & Purdue wins out they win. If Minn. wins out against Iowa & Wis., + Ill., Iowa & Purdue lose a game Minn wins. I think. Pretty wild finish. Might not be the strongest div. but at least it is interesting.

If your counting on any of those 3 I've got a feeling you're going be very disappointed.

Punting, PK & ST overall have been a big improvement. If we can just slow down the rushers a little on the PK attempts it will be even better.

Yeah. None of those schools were anywhere close to the bottom of the barrel as we are and have been for 6 years. Things can get turned more quickly than the old days but to expect to be at that level in one or two years is a bridge too far (may 2 or 3 bridges) IMHO.
