  1. OL in particular still scares me. No matter how good the talent is around them if they don't get job done it is tough sledding.
  2. Apparently it lends itself to churning out winning teams though. I'd trade their record for HCSF's.
  3. I hope they continue the Husker Online Podcast over there. It is my favorite to keep up on what is happening in without a lot of lollygagging around and wasted time BS'ing about nothing relevant.
  4. Hoping you mean another game like NW last year and not another game like we started the season last year against Ill.
  5. Now just image how much worse it would have been if we hadn't cheated!
  6. He went to KU and set all time school records for catches and yardage for a single season. Have to think that helped his draft position some. And with our running back woes last year it would not be hard to imagine him being used extensively as a running back again had he stayed. We'll never know for sure it looks like he made wise choice in transferring. I'm glad it worked out for him since he seemed like a good kid.
  7. Pretty impressive highlight reel in a position of great need. Hope he can do as well in the B1G as he did in the Big 12
  8. This is pathetic, not surprising but still pathetic considering Iowa had 6.
  9. Right. Going from the best 3-9 team in the country to the worst 3-9 team in the country would kill recruiting.
  10. Yeah, the lowly Boilermakers who went 9-4 last year with a bowl win and have a 3-1 record against HCSF.
  11. The have the camps coming up in a few weeks too.
  12. Looks good. Lettering is back to red from being a faded pinkish color.
  13. Word from N2FL on the other board is - OREGON.
  14. I'm thinking before the end of 2022. Once again, as mentioned in another thread, Player Retention.
  15. Then when he did land a big time recruit in Wan'dale Robinson he was unable to utilize his skill-set properly instead turning into a hybrid rec./RB. So the kid leaves and goes to Kentucky where is sets the school single year record for receptions and receiving yards.
  16. Seems like a good choice. Consistent winning program that finished last year in the top 10. Will be interested to see how he develops vs. Watson who was our choice.
  17. I'll be happy if they can manage 6 wins and a bowl. And it is a pretty damning commentary regarding recruiting, player development and player retention when in your 5th year as head coach you need to make such wholesale changes by bringing in that many new faces.
  18. You need to get in touch with Trev and let him know what horrible decision he has made. ad@huskers.com You can also let him know what a crappy AD he is for inflicting this on you.
  19. Thing is, we need the new athletic facility to try to stay competitive with everyone else who has or is building a new facility. If we continue to fall behind and the football trend continues, people who attend the games will have plenty of room to stretch out since the place will only be about half full.
  20. I agree but when you look at how HCSF's teams have performed in season openers I think we need all the help we can get. They are 1-3 with the only win being a 14 point victory in 2019 over a Sun Belt conf. team that ended going 2-10 that year. Good thing we didn't open against a P5 team or any team that ended up with a winning record or we'd probably be 0-4 in season openers.
  21. I've wondered the same thing. Because I think we all know that no matter how great you class looks on paper there are going to be a significant number of players the either don't live up to expectations and move on like or wash out completely.
  22. With Texas A&M boosters shelling a reported $30M to buy the top recruiting class for 2022 I don't see NU keeping up with that kind of spending, ever, unless Buffett has major change of heart. But I can see a lot of kids being cast off after a year or two in these high spending programs so maybe we can grab a few in the portal in the coming years. It makes me sad to see where college football has ended up.
  23. From what I've read in several places so am I. That's why I was a little surprised to see some potential attrition there. Hopefully not someone who we were counting on to contribute.
