While I truly hope this whole process works out and we can at least get to the point of .500 seasons, it more and more seems to me to be a move of desperation. I could see it turning into cluster%$@# rather easily.

Where is the choice for no concerns, none at all?

Bad news...We were 1-5 against those really horrible teams this year. And that was with best talent we've had since Frost has been here. Looks to be a big drop off in several positions next year.

Seems to be the consensus that this is all much to do about nothing. Maybe even fabrication to get clicks. So fake news it would appear.

Certainly all conjecture but I could see this happening. Interesting the meetings between HCSF & the player(s) turned contentious enough for Trev to cancel his trip. I'd guess he probably none to happy about this regardless of how it all actually went down.

And with the word just out that Trev had to cancel his trip to Indianapolis for meetings ahead of the B1G championship game to put out the fires in Lincoln between HCSF and departing player(s?) which apparently turned contentious. This is a very bad look from and about the last thing this program needs. And the hits just keep on coming.

We were 1-9 against P5 opponents in 2021. With the player losses we are seeing on both defense and offense I think Frost will need all the help he can get just trying to get to 6-6 and a bowl. Throw out the FCS & Sunbelt and replace them with strong P5 like suggested and Frost's future looks even grimmer that it already does.

Ain't it the truth. We have fans blaming the punter for the blocked punt Sat. even though he got the kick off in 1.8 seconds (anything below 2.0 is good) while the punt team lined up in the wrong formation, ran the blocking scheme for a right footed rugby style kicker even though Przystup is a left footed conventional style kicker and let the defender rush untouched to the kicker.

Smart move by Robinson and I'm happy for him. Seemed like a good kid that was a bad fit for NU. He gets to play receiver (not RB) on top #25 team with a winning record plus sets the school record.

I can't see the OC being to far from from what they currently run. It's not like Frost has the luxury of time like a new HC in year one where he can afford to make some mistakes along the way while they learn a new system. They've got to hit the ground running and win from the first game on. Another year like this year while the team adapts to a new system and Frost will be long gone (like he should already have been).

Don't worry about it Hedley. The "next man up" crowd has assured me we'll just plug and play who ever is behind these guys with no drop off. Worst case, we grab a bunch of guys off out of the portal or JC and they will be ready to go by game one with again, no drop off.

I don't think it will be. The schedule is more favorable but we only beat one P5 team this year and are losing a ton of talent so I wouldn't count on the schedule. Maybe we get a real ST coach which could have meant several more wins this year. Maybe our new OC will be allowed to call plays and not panic in the second half. But Frost will still be in charge and I'm not sure any of the above can overcome that large of a burden.

You do exactly what you did this year except instead of a 12-20 record to help sell your vision have a 15-29 record and were 1-9 against P5 teams. And you end up being ranked probably below where we are now at #77 and last in the B1G. But on the bright side we are .06 points ahead of Illinois in the average star ranking in the B1G. So there's that.

And that is scary for the longer term. With all we are losing after this season, the horrendous class we will have this year, the horrendous class we will have for the 2023 class after another year of this crap leaves a very bleak outlook for the future. Losing, get used to it because it's going to continue to be the NU for years to come.

I haven't read this thread so this might have been covered. HITF do you get a touch-back on the opening kickoff, then decide to pow-wow the offense on the sideline, then yap so long that the team doesn't get lined up until there are less than 10 seconds on the play clock. By the time you get the signals called and motion run you end up with a delay of game call before the first snap while there is still 15:00 on the game clock. Not the first time this crap has happened either. Infuriating, unbelievable and unacceptable! Although inconsequential to the outcome of the game it is a microcosm of HCSF's poor game management and failure a head coach in a nutshell. I truly wish ADTA would have just bit the bullet and cut ties with this clown we have as head coach.
