  1. That pretty much sums up HCSF tenure at NU unfortunately.
  2. Hate it for the kid as I really enjoyed watching him run. Best back in the B1G from what I have seen.
  3. I see the line opened at NU -11. I guessing it will move down similar to Illinois. Should be an interesting game. Could go a long way in boosting the team's confidence for OU the following week. On the other hand, a loss would be a second devastating blow and would likely mean a 1-3 start which would make it extremely difficult to make it to a bowl. DVR set.
  4. I think we learned about as much from the Fordham game as we learned from the Buffalo Bulls win over Wagner(?). Nothing. In both games the winners were way over matched against their opponents. But it was nice to see the team finally roll for a change and win the game in convincing style.
  5. At halftime. 5 Rec. 125 Yards 2 TD 62 Yards Longest
  6. Fordham - 17 Nebraska - 41 Rushing - 241 Passing - 293
  7. I guess a lot of people didn't catch it since it was the third replay they showed after the following play.
  8. Not pick him up and drive him into the ground after the initial hit which he clearly did. Whether we like or dislike the current rules is irrelevant. They are the rules of the games and unless you have access to the Wayback Machine you have to play by the rules or expect to get flagged.
  9. Well, with everything going on off the field with Frost I think he's going to need every penny he can get.
  10. I was going to bring this point up. We are already seeing the results of 3 losing seasons under HCSF in the 2022 recruiting class. Currently, we're ranked last in the B1G and the only school besides Illinois without at least one 4 star recruit. Another year like the first 3 (which is looking likely from seeing the first game) and if you retain Frost things will really get ugly on the recruiting trail
  11. At this point I think we would be better off if they could just find somebody to make smart decisions and hang onto the ball. Stop fielding punts while backpedaling inside the 10 yard line. I wonder if Santino Panico has any eligibility left.
  12. There was a replay clearly showing him driving Sitkowski into the ground. It was the 3rd replay they showed after the following play was run. An elevated view from behind. I too thought it was a bad call until that replay but upon seeing it there was no question it was the right call and an inexcusable play by Tannor. And to add insult to injury he followed up the roughing with an unsportsmanlike conduct to give Ill. another 15 yards. Dumb, dumb, dumb but what we've come to expect from Frost's teams.
  13. I totally on board with this. Hopefully Trev can begin to right the ship soon.
  14. The bright spot for me is I don't get upset at losses anymore and actually end up chuckling at some of the more stupid things they pull off almost every game. In the TO era a loss like yesterdays would have a devastating effect on me.
  15. You put the ball on the carpet as much as AM does and it is only a matter of time before a defender is in position to scoop & score. Not bad luck, just that probability catches up to you eventually. BS. That roughing call was a text book example of the rule. You could take the video of the play and use it as an example of the violation. Bad luck? No. Either poor coaching or more likely just another in a long string of bone headed plays by a Nebraska player. The NCAA says this is prohibited:
  16. I had us at 5-7 even thinking this game would be a win (though I came to my senses this week and picked Ill in the weekly contest). Still think they can get 5 wins although 3-4 wouldn't surprise me.
  17. The 9 wins were fine, it was Pelini's clown show that did him in.
  18. Our 3 running backs had a grand total of 55 yards on 19 rushes for eye popping average of 2.9 yd/rush. So yeah, the option game would work splendidly when your OL is owning the LOS like we do.
  19. Nebraska - 27 Illinois - 35 Rush - 174 Pass - 248
  20. Smart play calling, game management and tidy play. No errant snaps. No unforced errors.
  21. Illinois has their press conferences setup so you can actually hear the questions being asked. What a concept! And what a contrast in styles comparing Bielema and Frost in their press conferences.
  22. Saw this on a blog today. One of the things that needs to change in 2021 if things are to turn around. The trend has been going in the wrong direction the first 3 years. I knew it was bad but didn't realize it was this bad. 2018 we lost the second half 152 to 163, and were 4-5-1 against P5 opponents. 2019 we lost the second half 127-147, and were 3-6-1 against P5 opponents. 2020 we lost the second half 60-113, and were 1-6-1 against P5 opponents.
  23. I don't know where NW will finish but they do have a very favorable schedule with MSU, Mich & Rut as their crossover games and Indiana St., Duke & Ohio as their OOC games. Even if they aren't very good this year with Fitzgerald as coach and that schedule they could be in the upper have of the division.
  24. Sure was one hell of a flick to make your debut as an actor.
