Perhaps maybe we will see Johnson more in the slot, and the other three in the RB rotation? It seems RJ is more effective as a receiver than as a RB. But of course injuries can change all this.

Which true freshmen won't redshirt this upcoming season?

If Yants stays in great physical shape, as he was last spring practice, he has the potential to be a monster. -
We also heard he is walking without a limp. So who knows.

The question then is will Nebraska have better interior DL than what TCU had? Will Nelson be better than average? Maybe. If that is the case, Mathis could make them all look better. If not, then, yes, it probably won’t make a big difference. I just hope the the two DLs from the transfer portal compliment Robinson well. I supposed we are rolling the dice some.

I tend to agree with this. He may actually have two years to get it done to give the new assistants time — unless the bottom totally falls out next season, but I don’t think that will happen.

As has been said, it takes one great pass rusher to open it up for other defenders. I remember one game when Suh was being double team the whole game, Crick had like five sacks. Crick was good, but Suh made him look better.

He was a solid RB for Nebraska. But it appears Yant, Grant and Allen have the potential to be better. Let’s hope so.

Pretty much what I was thinking. You just explained it better.

If the losses include at least two blowouts, that would be a determining factor next season. The fact Frost didn’t have any blowout loses last year bought him another year. Trev will look at a lot of factors. If he thinks those new offensive coaches are worth keeping, that will affect his decision.

Ok, what else would it be? Not trying to troll or argue. Please expand on what else would cause a receiver to drop passes. I am always willing to learn more.

I wish him the best at KSU. Hopefully he does better with a different QB coach. I don’t think our former one didn’t helped his confidence much.

Yes, obviously drops are a mental thing. Hopefully Coach Joseph can clear his mind.

What bad luck for this young man. Hopefully he again recovers fully, but he probably is looking mostly to 2023.

Be nice to get Washington, but this is a bigger need. -
Yes Iowa and Wisconsin are consistent in winning more games than they lose and are going to bowls every year. But those two programs can only go so far with their lack of great talent and are nowhere near OSU and company. Nebraska definitely needs to continue to step up recruiting — and improve coaching. Having seven or eight wins would be a good start, but the fans in this state in general demand top 10 finishes every year and an occasional conference championship, in addition to once-in-awhile be in contention for a national title. But even before 1993, for those of you who remember, Osborne’s success was not enough for many Husker fans. But that was totally forgotten because of Osborne’s final five years. But he was constantly criticized for failing to win the big games and being labeled second fiddle to Oklahoma and Switzer.

It’s still early. It doesn’t necessarily mean he goes to OSU. Decommitments are not uncommon. It may depend on how Frost does next season. His team could go anywhere from 3-9 to 10-2. That is how uncertain this 2022 teams is. It probably be somewhere in between.

You are not the only one.

Unless Betts changes his mind and the coaches agree to take him back. That may not happen, but you never know.
