Honestly.. IMO (not worth the salt on my brow I know).. Maybe there's a positive in this loss. Maybe (hoping) the loss leaves such a horrendous taste in the seniors mouths they stand strong behind their coach and stick around for one more season. As for the staff though, first place to maybe look is O-line coaching, 2nd place is an actual running backs coach and lastly, the offensive system as a whole. Maybe stop with the spreads, push the power game more and win ugly for a few years. Seems to work for Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern and heck.. even the Illini have went that direction. If Frost wants to run the RPO then implement more option offense into it because the offense he's running right now isn't working.

Here's hoping not. In all honesty, if a player makes a huge decision off results from a single game. A game mind you, where one team is coming in short handed.. Well, I'd think that a mistake. I also wonder if the skers mental prep is on or have they written the gophers off like they did the illini? If so, it will be a long, long day in Lincoln.

Fate always has a way of revealing truths and it's fate that is showing how the B1G conference blotched nearly every decision of this season. The only save IMO is the decision to allow tOSU into the conference title game and hope its enough to keep them in the playoff. That said, I'm not counting Northwestern out... tOSU has only played 1 game in 3 weeks while Northwestern continues to do what they do.. win by grinding defense and burning clock on offense.. I'd be shocked (as everyone would be) if Northwestern wins. I can't however say I'd be surprised and really, if fate holds true to revealing the B1G's ineptness then would it be that much of a shocker in the first place?

Let's volunteer to play tOSU again. Seriously... the season is nearly over and we need one of the OG schools in this conference on our side. I'd love to see us volunteer to cancel our game with minny and play the buckeyes instead. Show the conference folks that DONU is a team player!!

football has turned into rub routes... nearly impossible to defend against them. had the rub not occurred we'd have sacked the qb but because the rub created separation the qb unloaded and got the penalty call. Rub routes are the offenses biggest friend these days.

Man.. I don't know you, I've never spoken with you so I'm probably totally off here but it seems you're more interested in taking the program down than supporting it. It appears to me (again, I've not spoken with you) your hatred of Frost out weights your ability to be a fan of the program.

Actually I think an argument against this statement can be made. Meaning, I think doing the exact thing over and over can be for developing consistency. What I wonder is, if Frost were to actually implement say 15 plays and off of those 2 audibles.. You run those 15 plays over and over until players can do run them with their eyes shut.. Isn't that kind of what the Osborne offenses were? (again, showing my lack of real understanding here)

With the transfer portal options that now exist.. I don't see this at a risk at all. So many 4 star and higher athletes are transferring these days. Seems now, if recruiting competition in the room exists that players not getting the starts just take their talents elsewhere. Frustrating to me so I kind of like the idea of recruiting developmental players. Build the depth. Build the team bond. Build player trust and see the fruits of your labors shine.

What concerns me is the panic by us the fans.. I think all this negative talk is only destructive. Destructive to the team, the players, the staff and the fans.. I also know we won't receive any favored officiating, B1G reviews/pub or anything that we as fans can actually tangibly hold on to. The conference continues to do everything they can to want us (the fans) and Nebraska (the University) to reach the breaking point and voluntarily leave. Anyone not seeing the biased officiating is in denial. The lack of any interest from the conference network as well as administration is openly obvious. Whether anyone wants to admit it, there is more weight on the shoulders of "any" husker coach (all sports). I'd go as far as saying, combined OG programs total is less than the huge and hefty amount on just the husker programs. Outside media is mentioning it, internal conference media is mentioning it, local media has mentioned it. The truth is, the conference has and will continue to push any button they can to force us out.. The staffs of every sports know this and the burdens are huge!!! Sure, it sounds like excuses but... there is truth in the B1G OG's biases against us. (That includes officiating, reviewing of calls, etc.. )

Guys, gotta say.. conspiracy theory aside.. watched the mythical PI on Purdue last night.. seeing the BS officiating here today and it's making wonder if they are officiating to achieve a desired outcome.. (yea.. could it be vegas is making up some of the lost revenues) Conspiracy Yes.. still?????

I'd start AM Why? Because the coin landed on Luke and I didn't like that so I flipped it again. Next week however I'd start Luke.. Coins don't lie!! In all seriousness though.. I'm a fan and know so little. I'll trust the coaches.

Frostie and this staff are gradually but continuously improving the program. Starting first with attitudes and finishing through recruitment. It's a slow process but one that will pay dividends. 2 years and this staff, the players they've recruited (and continue to recruit) and the fanbase will be celebrating a conference championship game with many more to follow. Frost "is" setting the recruiting standard in the west division. edit: spell check

I'll post one comment! Can't we take a breath, enjoy the win, watch the team mature and just enjoy being on the winning side for the first time this year. The remainder of our schedule is winnable... 1 game at a time So many b!^@hing!! I don't get it.. before the season began nearly everyone had us pegged at 1-3 (or 2-2 at best).. therefore, imo we are 2-2 (wisky forfeited). Me.. well, I'll take this win. The money monkey is off their back. Maybe they begin to play a little faster, a little looser and with a little more confidence. I'm going to enjoy this win until kickoff next Saturday! GBR!!

I can't disagree enough.. - Turnovers... coaches can't control that. - Penalties... If you or anyone thinks we are fairly officiated, think again. Even Mr. Nice Guy Riley commented on the bias. - Special Teams Return Yardage... Tell me, when teams kick "thru the end zone" or.. short punts/intentional bouncer/pouch... against you are you saying to your athletes that you want them to dart to the ball, grab the bounce and run? No, you will tell them to get away just as any coach would. - Special Teams defense.. sometimes sh!t happens and sometimes it's allowed to happen (meaning flags unthrown). Our players efforts were there. NW simply made a couple blocks. Maybe you can blame the punter but the effort to tackle was there. Punt returns develop, they aren't automatic. Same with kickoffs. Lastly, so Nebraska is an ugly duckling right now.. I personally think this ugly duckling is very close to becoming that beautiful swan.
