I’m no expert and this seems like stating the obvious… but we just cannot seem to beat teams that have a really dominant outside hitter, ie Wisconsin.

I think the transfer portal has added another dynamic into making decisions on assistants as well. Obviously every guy you hire you want him to be a great recruiter. An NFL guy likely isn’t going to have a lead on any transfers or recruits. On the contrary take a guy like Mickey Joseph for example. He could say well I know a guy that I recruited back in year x and he’s looking to hit the portal, I think I can get him. Or this guy that’s sitting at LSU behind a 1st round draft pick is going to be looking around. Or, there’s a stud high school receiver that we didn’t take at LSU because he’s 5’11 and we had some better options but we have a great relationship. I Just think with the way the world of transfers has changed it’s something to consider especially when you need immediate help because this is a do or die season for Scott.

Sean Snyder is definitely a name to watch.

Personally I’m still not 100% sold on Chinander. He was fortunate that all of the super seniors came back, he had a very talented, deep, experienced defense this season. It will be interesting to see how the defense looks next year when they have to completely rebuild but I don’t see them being able to carry the team next year. In my opinion the only way this gets better is our offense will have to take a major step forward next year. And obviously we have to take a major step forward in special teams. Watching the Ohio State Michigan game hurts to know we have OSU all they could handle and had Michigan on the ropes. But also gives me hope that we can get over the hump with some changes.

Yep, loved the game plan for today. Logan is pretty damn good running the option a d he’s not afraid to cut up the middle fir a few tough yards but I doubt he’d make it through an entire season in the B1G running it like that.

I don’t know if this is players or coaching but these are the little things. Other teams make those interceptions yet we just knock them down. I can think of 2 deflections that looked to be easy picks that resulted in Iowa field goals and another dropped by Tannor that would of been a game changer. These are the things we don’t do make that other teams do.

At least Fred is honest…. Fred Hoiberg says many of Nebraska's players have been shooting over 40% from 3-point range in live action during practice. "Maybe that's because of our defense."

Blows my mind that kids on scholarship to play college basketball can struggle so much with shooting free throws.

You can see what Hoiberg sees in Verge. Hopefully he starts to gel with his teammates as the year goes on.

Just atrocious on both ends. I could care less to watch this team again the rest of the year.

Not sure what’s more painful watching this team or listening to the announcers..

Stuff like that happens. And roster isn’t exactly full of 5 star freshman ready to take the field. But what really frustrates me is that we’ve had no semblance of a punt or kickoff return in years, and to me that is on coaching.

Glad to see Blaise Gunnerson getting some action. First real action of his career.

Just why

Best defense since 09 with a 4 year starting QB and we’re starting down the barrel of a 3 win season. A bit scary.

I’ll be honest, watching MSU get smoked gives me just a little comfort in keeping Frost. We’ve had an absolutely brutal season but it’s been awesome to be in every game. Sucks that we can’t seem to catch enough breaks to get over the hump and get some momentum going but I don’t missed getting steam rolled by good teams.

Talented for sure but watching him followed by Lovett you can really see the difference in a guy that wants it.

My gut feeling is AM will be gone after this year.

God damn it sucks being a Husker fan right now. Combining football and men’s basketball I’m not sure there is a worse program in the country right now.
