  1. SF get your face out of that play book and watch the game to see who is winning their battles and exploit that with plays. Watch the game!
  2. lol .. they reversed an Iowa td for us. Great crew!
  3. That TD play reminded me of some T.O. used to run.
  4. A bit of disagreement, as this brings to mind what may likely be a portion of the analysis of this game with Iowa tomorrow and for a few days afterward: Win or lose, we'll see insights about how Smothers is no Martinez, especially regarding getting down field pretty well when under duress in broken plays, as well as some well run plays here and there. AM has racked up a lot of yards for us with his feet and legs, again, under duress.
  5. I beg to differ again. I'm old enough to be everyone's ancestor, and I STAND WITH EVERYONE ELSE AT THE STADIUM AND COMPLAIN WHEN THEY SIT. And a hearty f#&% you for disrespecting old people.
  6. I beg to differ, as that year we beat the Buffs I almost got run over by the Schnapps enabled students with a section of the goal posts ripped apart and carried downtown. 1994. https://www.huskermax.com/1994-nebraska-colorado-football-photos/
  7. We’ve never seen them together. A mere coincidence? I think not.
  8. And just as importantly, if he can win in the SEC he can win in the B1G. We know one coach who did fine in the um... AAC, but could not hack it here. I won't mention any names.
  9. Oh, I see you're from Omaha. I thought you were from Nebraska. JUST KIDDING. .. sorta.
  10. Lately. Early on there was expressed sadness in many Husker hearts about the mounting losses and other changes. I'm not psychic, but I do remember back then feeling that the worst was yet to come, and that we might not see the bottom for a long time. It felt awful. Some of my seatmates in our section of the stadium did appear to be suppressing tears at times when expected wins became fewer and fewer and we were all seeing another loss unfold by our guys in the same stadium wearing the same colors that once could be counted on to be the scene of one great play and one great win after another. My sadness turned to anger (at this or that player, at this or that coach, etc) then cycled on to what is said there in that post I quoted. I still feel certain ways about some of the coaching hires, and it's mostly negative. The players? I now see them as victims.
  11. Yes. 3 and 1/2 (when I last checked) to 1 and 1/2 when I posted yesterday. Line moving like that may be because of the QB situation.
  12. The line has moved down to 1 and 1/2 from 3 and 1/2.
  13. Hope he has sense enough to not put on that Stanford jersey. That was his first choice.
  14. We can't say b!^@hes in here? Anyway... I think there is a possibility he'll be okay.. he's been chomping at the bit to play. Now he gets to play.

  16. Fighting off the "Scott Frost/Adrian Martinez/Special Teams We-Can-And-Will-Find-A-Way-To-Lose" mindset, I'm going with the comparative team stats and predicting a Husker win. I think our guys will overcome the season and make it happen.. somehow. Idiots Out Wandering Around: 24 Nebraska Cornhuskers: 28
  17. Thanks. I'll put that here in the bundle with my GeoCities up votes and Raleigh coupons.
  18. It's at 3 and 1/2 as of about 4pm today (Sunday). Welp... looking at Iowa's cushy schedule and their overall stats, I can see the Huskers as the fave by a few points. Of course, Scott Frost is a clever man; he'll find a way to lose, I'm sure.
  19. I guess his hero status here is not yet faded quite enough. Still an ember there, it seems.
  20. My feeling is that SF's situational awareness seems weak, thin, whatever. He does not seem clear on anything but the goal. And the goal is not enough, contrary to many locker room speeches. Each step going toward that goal has to be executed under changing circumstances; those are the steps that decide things in the end. There are variables that can mess it up (those freaky officials, an unexpected turnover, a missed kick, etc), but situational awareness brings us to clarity on the variables as they unfold. Our HC seems to have little of that ability. I recall Tom Osborn being amazing at that as he adjusted to things during the game.
