  1. Then you're not remembering right. Taylor put the team on his back and won us some close games in 2012, and Tommy rarely ever lost us games and the few he did he was the only reason we were still in them. He wasn't an all-conference caliber like Taylor was but he was a quarterback that could be and was trusted to take care of the team.
  2. also means there will be no shortage of overly-hasty expectations to be in top form in year 2 don't get me wrong i want the team to maximize their potential at every step of the way i can just see the annoyance in my temples now of how stupid our fanbase will get if we win the west this year and then go only 7-5 next year.
  3. Cities in the midwest are all quite similar, but the differences between San Diego and Charleston and Savannah and Portland and Memphis etc. are pretty pronounced.
  4. What percentage of the population has the purchasing power to buy a new custom built home btw, just out of curiosity? And what percentage do new custom built homes make up in the entire housing market?
  5. and the point being made is that at this time in our country what you pay is a f#&% ton and what you pay for is cheap s#!t that isn't designed to last longer than a 30 year mortgage at best
  6. strong disagree strong agree
  7. Nice work, bummer that his list of what sounds/when seems to be lost forever.
  8. Apologies if there's a more recent thread in another forum Since Nebraska seemed to forget to turn in their assignment for getting EA a list of stadium sounds, I was wondering if one of the power users of the board could look back and find the list/database from years back where someone made a comprehensive list of sounds in different situations? I know someone made this back in the day, maybe @huskeraddict?
  9. idk, the school probably opened itself up somewhat with their actions once the allegations came forward.
  10. Dealer can also be like, "Cam Rising drove this baby to the stadium the day we won the Pac-12 Championship"
  11. I think there's about a 0% chance that these are actually purchased and transferred ownership - probably just a lease as long as you're on scholarship, to then be sold as a 'demo' vehicle after. So overall probably not much expense involved but a hell of a value nonetheless.
  12. To whatever extent we might hypothetically be behind in the NIL game, here's a move to emulate:
  13. That clause in his contract is not a "score 25ppg or you're fired" scenario. It actually really means next to nothing, it just means the contract won't auto-renew. The only way he's gone is if the AD forces it.
  14. my phone go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  15. I'm not sure and I'm also very far from an expert on X's and O's but I would venture to guess it would be somewhat comparable to Tim Beck's 2012 offense.
  16. As you said at the end of your post, there isn't a lot of info either way. But on one hand you have some info from people relatively in the know, at least compared to all of us, that suggests we are competitive and have good advantages in the NIL space. On the other hand, you have absolutely zero info that we're not. So I don't know if it's benefit of the doubt as much as it's not much of an opinion either way but a loose belief in the narrative that actually has some evidence, compared to a belief that is based on nothing at all.
  17. Are people under the assumption that what we're doing right now is Satterfield and Rhule's dream offense? I'm not. I think they're doing the best job with the guys they have in year 1 in adapting it and 'shutting it down' so to speak to give the team its best chance at winning. It doesn't seem dissimilar to early in Bo's tenure when A. we strategically shut the offense down into a slow plodding essentially bad ball control approach and B. from '08 until Taylor's redshirt freshman season in 2010 they were slowly building out their ideal offense as a hybrid of WCO passing schemes with a zone read quarterback run game that they wanted for the future.
  18. That's more or less what I'm saying. Nobody is moving away because of the direct reason of "I don't like the laws", but that's a piece of the entire puzzle of the culture of the state that makes it easy to leave and uninteresting for many.
  19. Maybe not the laws specifically, but the laws are absolutely an ingredient in the entire recipe that makes the state uninteresting to many as they get out of college.
  20. Nobody disagrees that more/better talent helps and will be necessary to eventually hopefully get back to championship football. The point of contention is that it isn't a simple equation either way, and since we are a program that is strong in some categories and weak in others (the most notable one being recruiting prowess), the core foundation better not and can't be reliant solely on talent; rather, the formula here has to start with development and process and let that translate into winning which then translates into an uptick in recruiting which then begins a positive feedback loop. There are programs who can recruit at an elite level by essentially doing nothing more other than existing. We aren't one of them and never will be.
  21. Alberts said as much. My bad on the current student section location got my directions confused
  22. The current configuration has the opposing team on the same side of the field as the student section.
  23. Running is a lot easier with a broken face than it is with a broken leg.
  24. Wait, you think someone requesting that others, "kindly refrain from voting" counts as voter suppression?
