  1. you DON'T know this!!! Nobody in the AD has specifically said that Goldie Hawn isn't a candidate.
  2. One thing the godless urban libs have 100% gotten right - oat milk and almond milk are vastly superior to actual dairy milk.
  3. If health insurance was a constitutional right, you might be on to something here.
  4. There's two things at play. #1, things that hit closer to home get more of a response. You care more about someone you went to high school with dying than you do about someone you've never met in Alaska. #2, it's a bad look, or at least people who have actual jobs to manage media and public relations can easily be convinced that it's a bad look.
  5. Mass shootings on college campuses don't happen every day. Mass shootings on college campuses that have P5 D1 football programs where the perpetrator and victims are related to the football program especially don't happen every day.
  6. Fair enough but Busch really has very, very little to work with. Especially considering our offensive staff seems hellbent on giving him as little help as possible, and just expecting the defense to be able to handle 100 snaps per game.
  7. So Smothers with a better completion percentage, better passer rating, better TD/INT ratio, and better AYPC is clearly behind Chubba?
  8. OC - Lane Kiffen DC - Brent Venables non coaching assistants Gary Patterson, Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden, Chip Kelly, Jeff Monken, Dave Aranda, Jim Leonhard, Tom Osborne and Bill O'Brien OL coach - Bill Callahan edit: goddamnit knapp beat me by 15 seconds
  9. You're essentially describing Tim Beck's offense.
  10. If we're talking about bowl games, we've made plenty of those with more pass heavy offenses relative to the 90s. You really can't make up your mind what your own argument is any further than "run good, pass bad".
  11. convenient you leave out the history of how many run heavy teams have won championships in the last 20 years.
  12. That's what people said about Frost. Surely it's what they will say about the next hire 5 years from now as well.
  13. I'm not saying it's guaranteed that he would fail, but the odds and evidence don't point towards Deion having success here imo. Right now he's essentially succeeding as a cheat code. At that level, with his brand name, he's able to do the one thing he's good at which is out-recruit everybody else in a low division (already an unfair fight), and then just use that massive talent gap to sleepwalk into wins against teams drastically outmatched (even more of an unfair fight). Those advantages would be drastically equalized at the P5 level and at a place like NU which is not in rich recruiting territory. I basically see him as similar to that coach in the first two seasons of Last Chance U.
  14. I'd argue that Chappelle is not transphobic. I mean, I probably won't, because it would be tiresome and unlikely to change the minds of people who believe he is, but I'm of the opinion that transphobia is not an accurate descriptor of his saga making jokes about trans people. But with that being said, I think too many people are now suddenly fans of Chappelle because they believe he is transphobic and is now a part of their team.
  15. To be clear there was only ever one sourced example of something being anti-semitic rather than critical of Israel, and it wasn't from Omar or AOC.
  16. Maybe, maybe not. The ways in which we are bottom of the barrel are not entirely but mostly all related to incompetency of the staff and ripple outwards from there. Especially S&C. We're not bottom of the barrel in the same way that say Kansas and Oregon State have been where there's very little raw resources to maximize - we have a lot of good resources, including talent, that haven't been realized in any way. But the resources are there. With just average performance by a coaching staff this team as it currently exists should be a 6-7 win team. Bring in the right staff, get a solid foundation started with an offseason of effective S&C and fill some holes in the transfer portal and the potential to be decent or better very fast isn't unrealistic.
  17. He's always had a speech impediment. He hasn't always sounded the way he does these days. What that's attributed to I won't venture to say but there's no harm or fear in acknowledging that he's not exactly who he used to be.
  18. My Lightning McQueen crocs are comfortable, flashy, and they light up. We could have the croccleats sync to the 3rd quarter light show. Would be a bold statement - I support it.
  19. I would seriously vibe with NU going with New Balance for their new apparel partnership.
  20. If you wanna pretend like Saban's tenure at MSU doesn't qualify under your metric (not mine) of "sorta-not-too-horrible at a s#!tty school" it's pretty obvious you're only trying to win an argument and not actually engaging with the real discussion. I never said Stoops' UK record is as good or about as good as Saban's. I said Saban's qualifies as "sorta-not-too-horrible at a s#!tty school". The point being that coaches doing ok at low-resource programs aren't fated to not being able to do any better than that. Sometimes that's the best they can do, and other times they do better with a better opportunity.
  21. I'm sorry I thought the metric was "sorta-not-too-horrible at a s#!tty school". Nick Saban's tenure at MSU 100% qualifies as "sorta-not-too-horrible at a s#!tty school". Didn't know you would then back the goalposts up to pedantically flex they're not the 100% exact same because they don't have the exact same win percentage and one finished 9th while the other finished 11th. How about aka the Les Miles at Oklahoma State justification then?
