  1. Some of their issues, sure, but the rules are stacked against them and it's not a fair fight. Hard to see a path for proportionate or even balanced power in the future with the way that the GOP is cooking and bending the infrastructure of our democracy. Good point, and something I'm very nervous about going into the future. Also, just so you are aware, I think we all understand the point of what you mean.
  2. They're the same in the sense that getting a baseball thrown at your balls and getting a flaming chainsaw thrown at your balls are the same.
  3. Our volleyball program is so incredible to witness, wow. Also incredible that even though we are clearly the pinnacle and mecca and gold standard of the sport, the country seems to always find ways to underrate us. I'm fine with that, makes it that much more fun to support.
  4. This seems like crazy ratings inflation.
  5. Yep. Bottom and middle teams started getting way better as soon as they started getting $50+ mil a year from the massive tv contracts.
  6. The header on that webpage made me curious Has anyone ever gone in or out of the "left" terminal in Omaha? I don't think I've ever even been in it after flying in/out probably 3 dozen times.
  7. What upgrades are they working on? I'm flying in Friday, I'll keep my eyes open haha.
  8. People bagging on Bo Nix now is rich. The one complaint from Adrian detractors is that he's an amazing talent but doesn't have a clutch bone in his body. Then a quarterback very similar to him, except for the fact that he's actually won close games against top competition, comes into the portal and....no thanks? Same folks probably would've hired Mike Riley because they're so desperate for a change of pace.
  9. Good thing the game didn't go to any more sets, I'm pretty sure Texas' rec center had ultimate frisbee intramurals scheduled right after.
  10. I don't follow volleyball that closely, what's the deal with Lexi Sun?
  11. Not sure about that high of a level, but I was behind the scenes in NCAA DII and know that during the season, there just isn't much time for it. You need every second you can get prepping scheme and approach for your specific opponent coming up, that fundamental work ends up taking less than 10% of the time. Individual fundamental work is usually reserved for spring, bowl and early pre-season practices.
  12. Benghazi Hilary's emails!!!! Charlottesville was actors paid by a publicity firm Uranium One
  13. Well, I wouldn't have anything negative to say about Bryce Young. Think we've got a shot?
  14. Not to mention the OC and quarterbacks coach of a Heisman finalist, and not only that, but a Heisman finalist who developed into a Heisman finalist and wasn't a pure phenom from day 1.
  15. I'm an avid science hobbyist but I'm definitely no scientist. Do these findings show that Covid was present specifically in humans years before we thought? Or just that the virus has existed? Because we've known of corona viruses for some time, just (to the best of my understanding) not in humans.
  16. Trying to "gotcha" win based off of immediate responses to something that has had really large amounts of info come out after those responses is lame and trying way too hard. It's not like it's even difficult to poke fun at Biden/Kamala/Pelosi/etc., even in regards to this specific thing. Point out something more pertinent, like their lack of commentary NOW or something.
  17. I'm not blaming the loss on the playcalling. But yes I am saying that Frost's brilliant first half + one drive was soured by abandoning the run the rest of the way out as soon as the curse energy popped up.
  18. So what? We were still having success. We went pass happy first, then got a punt blocked for a TD, then we ran for 4 yards, 2 yards, and what would have been a first down option if not for Logan's fumble. Then we went pass happy again. You're proving the opposite point than you think you are. Frost abandoned the run after the first signs of chaos, he wasn't forced by lack of success.
  19. Yeah this isn't a controversial take at all for me. It's one thing to believe or strawman that universities are gestapo-led progressive woke fantasy lands that have rules in place to shut down any conservative opinion or ideology at any time. It's another to understand that the real world is a lot more subtle than that, and academia does absolutely skew left, and the conservative censorship is primarily one of selection bias and social pressure from a dominant group onto a smaller one.
  20. Ron Brown coached receivers and tight ends for like 18 years before becoming the RB coach and producing Burkhead, Abdullah, Braylon Heard and Aaron Green.
  21. What are you talking about? Our first drive of the 3rd quarter went: Run Run Pass Run Run Run Pass Run Run Touchdown Our next drive went run, pass, pass, punt blocked for a touchdown. Our play selection from that point forward was: Pass Run Run Run (Logan Fumble on option) Pass Pass (Safety) Pass Pass Run Punt Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass When exactly did Iowa change their defense and start successfully stopping the run before we stopped trying to run?
  22. His entire body of work should shut up the naysayers even moreso. It includes building up San Diego to an elite level, building up Stanford to an elite level, building the 49ers to get to the Super Bowl, and building Michigan to get to the playoff. He's an amazing coach.
  23. Cool, but what does his nephew think about it? Is he excited and thrilled?
