  1. Our spotty offense will struggle mightily against a very stout Illini defense. Our defense likewise, will be hard pressed to keep Illinois from scoring. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Nebraska scoring more than a couple field goals, while Illinois runs for another 600+ yard day and 30+ Points.
  2. We've hit the win total already. Again the talent of the opposition going forward is vastly greater, than what we've already faced. I'm simply hoping MJ can keep the team playing hard and avoid any major blowouts. Then bring in the new coach and we'll see from there.
  3. Plenty of time for them to score yet again. Guess it's time to watch a movie.
  4. So tired of this secondary, making gestures after the offense drops a ball. Stop it. You didn't do anything special.
  5. 3 and out and the D is back on the field.
  6. Commercials, kick off, more commercials. Jeez.
  7. Nebraska's not even slowing them down. It's going to be a long, LONG game for Nebraska's D if Nebraska's O cannot complete some sustained drives.
  8. Cannot vote as the None option isn't working. Don't get me wrong Mickey has done more than I thought possible considering what was left after Frost's departure, but the level of competition going forward is so much higher than we've seen with the possible exception of Oklahoma. Mickey cannot fix the Offensive line, where they're not only weak, but also where they have precious little depth. If we're lucky Mickey will at least keep us from being blown out, but sadly we've hit the WIN ceiling for the year.
  9. Rutgers is the better team tonight. Nebraska is sluggish, and looks completely disinterested.
  10. Whelp, the team looks lost again. Hopefully the Defense remembered how to tackle during the short time the offense was on the field.
  11. Start strong then collapse. That's Nebraska's M.O.
  12. Refs appear to be taking over this game.
  13. Sorry, but Nebraska is just broken. Indiana is going to have 500+ yards against Nebraska, nothing these new coaches will have done in 2 weeks will change that. Horrible tackling and continued poor line play will doom this team the rest of the year. Replacement coaches and assistants will not counter the lack of player development or conditioning. Indiana 42 Nebraska 31
  14. Nebraska suffers from severe nepotism. Enough with the whole "Nebraska" people or "Ex-Players" running the show. Let's get some Professional full time staff and coaches, that can get this program pointed in the right direction. I don't care where you grew up? I don't care, where you went to school, or for whom you played. Just hire the best qualified candidates, and let's see what happens.
  15. The way I see it, Nebraska will remain at only 1 win the rest of the season. This team is lost. Defense is in shambles and will completely implode before it's all over, (If they haven't already) The offense will do what it can but will start getting beat up and worn out, continually trying to play from way, WAY behind. Nebraska cannot get a new coach fast enough at this point. The Huskers are sorely in need a professional leader to coach and mentor whatever remains next year to a better place, both mentally as well as physically. Scott Frost really left his SKID mark all over this team and franchise.
  16. He would have to win out to be given any serious consideration, in my opinion. And with these lines and porous defense, that just isn't going to happen. No, it's time to bring in some solid P5 head coaching experience, and quit gambling on inexperienced former "Nebraska" players, as coaches. That said, I wish Mickey all the luck in the world, and if for some miracle he does go undefeated as the interim head coach. I think Trev would a fool to not seriously consider him, and I'd be more than happy to eat crow.
  17. I can't wait until we start seeing the meme's of "Confirmed Safe from Being linked to the Nebraska Cornhuskers Head coaching job."
  18. Solid progression without any major setbacks, with noticeable player development. Getting back to yearly bowl games, with the shear number of available spots, should be the minimum target the first couple years, then steady progress to better bowls in the 3-5 year range, and then competing every few years for the division/conference championships at 5 year on.
  19. About 10 months too late, but better late than never I guess.
  20. Coach Chin's should have never been hired. So yes, he should be let go.
