    How are people going to afford to go get doctorates? :( I completely do not see how it's going to be possible, unless you're already quite wealthy (or have no choice but to be poor)

      The funding structure for higher education is messed up already. Just throw another log on to the fire. Even with this tax break it was always stacked up against the poor.

      @jaws I agree. My debt is a little silly, but was the only way I could get to school. My fiance is getting the same degree comes from a different background and will walk away debt free. Difference in our month to month life ~800 dollars of loan repayment for me. 0 for her.
