    NFL 2023

Glad they won't renew those ticket holders. Lots of people in Miami trying to sell and make money off tickets. And it doesn't matter if you a visitor. It's sad because this the best Miami Dolphins team we have had or seen in 3 decades.
  4. Amazing "He's still not as good as Durant. KD is the best MVP of all time. And then Embiid, Lillard and Dame. Even Booker and Tatum are better than Joker and Luka "
  5. We shall be greeeat again, once we have more Oates and Barley and Haggis. Right now we have just Suet and Herbs and pudding. Hang around a wee bit longer young laddie. Scotland wasn't built in a day. Nor was Husker football..... without Oates and Barley and Haggis
  6. Your YELLING scared my black cat, "Pooter". Even my brown Labador "Goose" looked up. But I get what you are saying, and you are right. Just shh, take a down a notch We don't yell at trolls.
  7. Yeah I'll never forget when he was HC at West Virginia and put a 70 burger on Clemson and Dabo Swinney in the 2012 Orange Bowl LOL He won 10 games 2 or 3 times with WV and 12-2 at Houston one year. Loves offense and leans on Air Raid with good running backs. Played small time college football in Iowa and got recruited by the great Mike Leach. Whatever capacity they can get from Holgorsen is worth it. 15 years or so as a head coach means he knows a thing or two. And that is going to help a lot.
  8. Nice. Should add depth & competition to the group. Still has to beat out Emmett & the other returning RBs. Meaning, forget the high school stars when players were rated among HS players. Dowdell has some work ahead of him to do, and competition. Dowdell 17-90-1 - 5 games Emmett 90-411-2 - 5 games Plus, Rahmir Johnson - 172-739-6 and 27-258-2 receiving (career) Gabe 95-414-3 (career) and Kwinten Ives (RS Fresh)
  9. Wonder if he announced it with a southern Louisiana drawwwl...
  10. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists
  11. Current time, probably going to move up a bit. 12-2 overall 2-1 Big Ten Conf wins against Michigan State & Indiana Not too shabby One game at a time
  12. Huskers roll Indiana 86-70 Now 12-2 on the year.
  13. I like his size. Played a lot his 3rd and 4th seasons. Michigan & ND has interest too, so you know he's probably pretty good. Hopefully the Huskers is his destination spot after the visit.
  14. I remember this guy. It was before Covid. Way back then. But he played well after that then transfered and got hurt. Hasn't played in years. But, neither did Haarberg or Fidone. Could be a good time to sit down and have a talk. Maybe he still got some juice left in the tank?
  15. Well Idaho is close to Washington. Maybe we get lucky
  16. Not sure if anyone is aware, but there is history when White was coaching there and he played for him a few years.
  17. A transfer portal receiver or 2 could possibly help, I agree. If they work hard and contribute during the year, for sure. You discounted our 1st year player at TE as a receiving option. Fidone runs routes too and is a big part of the passing/receiving game. Lloyd, Coleman & Fidone 39 catches 647 yards 8 touchdowns That's pretty good production for 2 true freshmen and a TE who hadn't played in a few years because of injuries. Add Bullock to the crew and it's 54 catches and nearly 900 yards. And, Emmer Johnson was also a 1st time player as rFr and got 60, 70, 70+ yards in games when he wasn't even among the top 3 backs to see the field when the season began. Now he looks like a possible starter going into next year. All I am saying is that we recruited these guys, it's going to take time, they produced in year 1, they will get better with more reps, and we need patience. Can't have an impatient microwave mentality when building something great. Transfer portal may help with veteran leadership, but don't mistake it for better talent than we already have. We will be fine. We got our QB and need some patience there too. But, we will be better than this past year for sure.
  18. The Lineman who caught the ball for Detroit did report to the official. The official's job is to then report it to the Defense, but obviously reported wrong number to Dallas. The result of the officials screw up was to throw a flag too. This was terrible officiating and nothing anyone can do about it or overturn it. So yeah, officials do what they want, right or wrong, win or lose, good or bad, and that's it. Detroit should have won and got robbed by officiating. In college ball though, lineman are not eligible on forward passes.
  19. Home court, I think we have a chance to sneak up and get this one. From all I can tell, Indiana has been good enough to beat subpar opponents. And they've been really bad against ranked teams. Lost to #4 UConn 77-57 Lost to #25 Auburn 104-76 Lost to #2 Kansas 75-71 And recently beat Moorehead State by 1 (69-68), beat North Alabama and Kennesaw St (all home games). In other words, take it to them because they are beatable.
  20. There is parity. It's been here for a bit. For example, Kansas won 9 games this year. Kansas State won 9 games this year. Missouri (SEC) went 11-2 and beat Ohio State. Oklahoma State won 10 games for the 8th time since 2010. They have won 11 or 12 games in a season 3 different years. Baylor has won 10 games in a year, 6 times since 2011. And they won 11 games in a year 4 times. Played in CCG twice in 5 years and won it once. They even had a Heisman Winner 2011 Before 2011, they typically won 2 or 3 games when they joined the Big 12 in 1997. Occasionally 4 games. Look at what Duke and Kentucky have been able to do recently. Even Pitt had a heisman candidate a few years ago. Wake Forest wins. Oregon State wins, Northwestern wins, Purdue wins, Minnesota wins. Sure it's up and down at times, but still shows there is parity.
  21. I don't know if "career receptions" is supposed to be drama, but... Huskers Qbs threw 10 touchdowns. Fidone, Coleman, Lloyd, Bullock had 54 catches and 9 touchdowns. So what's the problem? All were first year players. Except Bullock. Doss redshirted. IGC injured first game. Do players not grow and improve from year 1 to year 2, or am I missing something? Because 9 touchdowns says a lot more than you want to admit. Thankfully they got on the field this past season. It was year one. And a lot of college receivers don't shine their initial season, but become valuable threats in year 2, and even more in year 3. Which means we are on track like everyone else who has played 1st year players. Receivers that go to the portal want Money, along with being the first read every play. I don't think there are good ones out there that deserve all of that coming here.
  22. Washington played their game for 3 quarters. The flow, the tempo, the air assault and attacking. They played like they gave no s#!ts because it's what they did all year. They played the 4th quarter more timidly at times. Nearly got burnt. Great game and ending. That DB saves the day on a catchable pass in the endzone
  23. Lol although I do appreciate the hidden comment NSFW Well SEC and Bama, I can help you out. Next time the game is on the line, with 4 wideouts, and while motioning your only RB out of the back field..... Perhaps don't let everybody on the field know it's a QB draw. And everyone in the stadium too. And everyone watching That way you can't blame how you failed on something else.
  24. LOL yeah it was 10:40pm when the 3rd quarter ended. And the game ended at 11:50pm. Practically past my bed time but, these teams shouldn't be playing a game to Midnight with so much on the line. I also feel bad for fans on the East Coast.
