I couldn't disagree with you more. I played soccer for many years, and it takes very little skill to play. Hitting a golf shot straight, hitting an 86 mph curve ball, or knocking down jumpshots with having someone 6" taller than you in your face takes skill, kicking or headding a ball takes little. There are 2 reasons why the USA sucks at soccer: 1) We don't care 2) When kids start showing a lick of athletic ability, they start playing real sports. To answer the OP, paint drying. At least watching paint dry is productive and interesting. And nobody gets urine bombs thrown on them or gets killed in the riots. sorry, I didn't even read this entire thread.... Rose Bowl every year? Not even the most die hard, kool-aid drinking Husker fans would put us in the Rose Bowl every year. Even if they did, nobody would have us playing CU every time. Seriously, there isn't an emoticon out there to express my feelings. I actually liked the "rivalry" with CU every year, but this is absurd. McCartney, the strip club called, you were so effed up you left your stash.

I feel like CU when I say that I feel like beating UT this year will make our season. What is wrong with me? Honestly, I would take a rather take a single regular season loss to UT and end up in the Big12 CCG, than beating UT and ending up 7-5. My hate for UT burns as deep as yours DJR. BTW, great summary of our farewell tour in the Big12. I can only hope that we have the same long term success in the Big10. GBR!

He was a guy I admired for what he did for Okie State. That's why. Pumping money into a floundering program to name another...I still hold a special place for the Big 8, and after reading his book couple years back, I bought into his philosophy. And.....because Nebraska is being made the villian in this whole thing....and being born and raised in Texas, this type of publicity can kill recruiting. Coaches just love this type of ammo. As a side note, I was recruited by Texas....hated them then and hate them even more now. The arrogance. I think that answers it. Great. So are you going to get worried about everyone who throws bad words Nebraska's way, or just T. Boone's? The guy has nothing to do with us. He's classless, he's hot air, and he's not going to have any affect on our recruiting whatsoever. If we continue to show improvement under Bo it won't matter what a thousand T. Boone Pickens say. If we suck this year it won't be because of him. Could not have said it better myself. You have to believe that T. Bone and and T.O. go back a ways, and yet he is setting fire to our program simply because of jealousy? A pretty lousy thing to do. What would he have done in T.O. and H.P.'s shoes?

If i remember right the tuff as rain used to be TAH. which was tuff as hurricane. he was refereing to the 07 MU D/team. Then since things were not as tough the next year it became tuff as rain. I think that is correct, but some of the other old timers might have to correct it. The wheel of fortune is in regards to the conference , If my memory serves me correctly though, TAR came before TAH.

Long story short: The Bill Callahan era had many folks questioning what was wrong with the Husker's defense. Quite a few people thought that a b******* would inspire the defense to turn things around. Those of us with more level heads knew that the fans' shirt color was not the problem with the defense. However, the call for a b******* continued, triggering one by the student section (can't remember when), which was later labeled a "failout". In the end, the higher-ups here on HB took their neurologists recommendation of banning the word, to avoid further damage.

I sent a bouquet of flowers to UT, sorry they smell like turds.
