He has to retake some classes and get caught up for him to take the SAT/ACT, so he was going to need an additional high school year to be able to get that done before college. This is not bad for us though because he can use that time to hit the weights and get use to the American physical style of play. Is he coming to the US for this year of school? If not, how would he get used to the American physical style of play? Can he play during this extra year? yes he can play during that extra year. sunrise has a post grad team that plays against other prep schools and jucos.

not sure how this pathetic thread ended up being about frank but ffs at least mention some things. he might not have been the best "closer" but he did bring in talent as an assistant. recruiting isnt just one coach bringing every player in either. before he revamped his staff he had one coach who didnt leave the state of nebraska, one coach who didnt leave his hoveraround and one coach who wasnt allowed to leave his office to recruit. without the 7-7 season frank doesnt get to fire coaches because the fan base wouldnt have allowed him to. he either should have went at the end of 7-7 or been given a year or two after the year he was fired. dear lord, find something else to bitch about.frank wasnt as bad as people try to make him out to be.

Mizzu and A&M are doing much better than we are. We haven't won a conference title since 1999. We live off our own legacy 95 this, 95 that. TO this, TO that. We've done nothing but get embarrassed on national TV since the 2002 Rose Bowl vs Miami. Both teams play in the best conference in CFB and are doing well oh and this is the same conference that has won the past 7 MNC's and a total of 9 out of the BCS's 15 year history. Yeah. FACTS buddy. You honestly think the SEC is that powerful of a conference this season? Have you been watching the games? Have you looked at the polls lately? Have you seen how many of their teams have been ranked in the top 10 this year? The SEC schools are tearing each other apart because they are that dang good! 20+ years ago the Big 8 was doing the SAME thing. How about the No. 1 team who has a pretty good chance to 3-peat? the big8 was never that good. 1 year they were but apart from that it was usually just 2 teams. as for the sec, they are top heavy. just because that one team has a chance to 3-peat doesnt make the rest of the conference that much better.

do all the line judges in the B1G have issues with spotting the ball wrong? numerous plays where they either add a yard or short a yard. but at least they are consistent and it isnt just going one way.

Akron almost beat them at home. Having the Spartans at home helps. But we have two rough road games in Ann Arbor and College Station. Akron might give us trouble too. College PARK, not college station...I hope we never go to college station again. Michigan's offense is improving, just as fast or faster than our defense is... State College

Not good news for us. Hope we can change his mind between now and then. This works in our favor though. When a recruits says he wants to play in a specific conference, not much you can do. Still, wins this season will help (kind of a cliche, but it always does). a good showing by the B1G against the $EC in the bowl games should help.

I agree. And I'd throw in holding calls while you're at it. We haven't gotten called for very many so maybe they're just not calling as many but there have been numerous times where our DLine has them beat only to get a nice little tug on the jersey that slows them down a step. I haven't noticed us doing that to the other team but perhaps I'm biased. purdue was flagged for it once, that i recall, yesterday. nu declined and pu promptly decides to go with a punt fake on the next play. but yeah, i think i can count how many times it has been called against the other team in the pst 4 years without removing my shoes.

Nothing really impressive just expected for a good team. can we use that rationale on va tech then? except for a thrashing of western carolina they havent won a game by more than 10 pts. i also wouldnt classify any of the teams they beat better than purdue or illinois.

looking at the other one loss teams, hardly any of them had quality wins and their SOS wasnt very impressive either. hell looking at va tech and i am trying to figure out why they even received votes.

so what you are saying is there should be no real expectation of the rules to be called correctly for 60 min in a blowout? probably what should have happened was the coaches put 11 guys on the field and they tell them to get it done no questions instead of trying to shuttle in bench players for bench players so those bench players can get a feel for the substitution patterns being used because the rules may or may not be followed. back to my point, if you are going to acknowledge they were getting screwed then dont make a huge production about what they were getting screwed on.

so in one sentence you admit the defense was getting hosed then go on a tirade about what they were getting hosed on. had the personnel issues solely been on the coaching then the tirade would be warranted but since they werent why even bother unless your sole motive is to bash the coaches. did they have these issues throughout the game or was it basically isolated to the last 5 minutes of the game when benches were being emptied? little common sense goes a long ways.

i was more wondering why they just didnt call timeout to get guys on the field. i figured they were just emptying the bench to get as many guys some game snaps.

I would avoid saying things like this if you want to be taken seriously. 2008 6-2 2009 5-2 2010 6-1 2011 6-1 2012 7-0 2013 3-1 so why exactly shouldnt we take him serious? through the first 5 years they have only averaged 1.2 losses at home a season and had won 10 in a row until the ucla loss.
