You know lived in Eugene when this opened and have seen it, I'm just not sure I grasp the ranking, and I think the main reason really is the lack of hardware to show off.

I've been trying out the Instant Pot. Sorry no sandwiches but some good roast - Taco Meat - etc. I bet Purdue get Brohm an Instant Pot to stay.

I bit of a tangent but not worthy of a new thread ..... one big part of this defense is getting turnovers, that's cool but ..... I was very bummed out to see how many extra yards backs were getting while the defense worked on stripping the ball. The play that comes to mind was when the Iowa back did not go down and the orgasmic announcers couldn't stop spouting off ......about how tough the back was. From my armchair I saw a bunch of defenders practically holding the guy up working on a strip while the back rumbled forward rather then putting him on the ground. When this happens you get 3 yard plays go for 6 - 7. I'd rather see tough sound tackling and let the fumbles follow.

Maybe we can get with a local team and declare a bowl game. Play at Memorial Stadium, pick up a seed or fertilizer company as the sponsor and Boom, a few more weeks a practice.

We'd be like the guy in the basement who just keeps coming to work.

What about 6 win teams that decide not to go a a bowl .......... it could happen.

So while I'm concerned about the Iowa defense they do appear to be very good at shutting down average to bad teams but against teams with good talent and offense they have been very vulnerable and thus 4 loses. I am nervous about the outcome but if the Huskers can keep up the good performance on offense I hope we can go out pick up 30 points and win the game. They are a solid, balanced team so to win will take a team effort because I don't see Iowa giving the game away with errors and sloppy play.

Welcome to the board, great place to learn, lurk and listen (ok read), and emote/speculate and commentate.

On the defense side my concern was that the D-line continued to get pushed around, early and often this is some of the stuff that needs to be improved as it has nothing to do with the pace of offensive play. I think the turnovers are a good sign and to be expected when the other team is trying to be aggressive to keep up with the offense they will make mistakes as they feel pressure to chase the offense.
