  1. Still waiting for this "mass exodus" some people were talking about.. I'll just be patient.
  2. For anyone wondering, Lot 20 and 19 are all sold I think. We were able to get cash spots in Lot 21 pretty easily
  3. At some level, there will always be division IMO. Sometimes more severe than other times. It's human nature.
  4. What's on my mind? Stuff and things.

    1. NUance

      NUance

You could probly get therapy for that.

  5. No worries. Thanks for clearing it up! GBR
  6. What did you fill in to the Website URL field?
  7. I think that's part of it. The other part could be the opposite of "sun's out, guns out"..
  8. I don't really subscribe to the cut\bulk season, so I guess my goals are still the same. Gain weight at ~2 pounds a month (this will probably come and go over time). Also, get stronger over a /long/ period of time using the three big lifts and their variants while maintaining a reasonable amount of body fat and conditioning.
  9. Thanks! for some reason, I can never connect to huskers.com.. weird.
  10. Is parking in Lot 19, 20 and 21 all parking pass only these days?
  11. For the South Alabama game. Must be same lot, please. PM me if you have them or have a hook up.
  12. Did DaveH die? Just read through that post and i've never seen his posts. Can confirm. Not dead.
  13. I thought that part was good as well. I like the notion of training to your potential every day. Some days you don't have it, some days you do. Trouble can be if you don't have a lot of experience you don't really know the difference.
  14. This is a good post, but the interview that topic linked to was all Dobson quotes. We have quotes from players saying they have had big increases in their lifts. Although, maybe those would have happened anyway seeing as they're 20 year olds. You know, that's a great point. If these kids are exposed to any program that's half right they'll make gains.. Their hormonal milieu is ripe for it. I don't know whether to roll my eyes or be turned on. It's true. It's science man, science.
  15. The exact same workouts, yes. Not necessarily the same movements. This is where programming is important.

  17. What good is strength if you can't get to your target? You need a balance of mobility as well in the world of sports. I see nothing wrong with doing more mobility work. 100% raw power will win you lifter of the year. Won't make you a great football player. Gerry needs his hip flexibility fixed. Improving fluidity etc will in turn allow better range of motion while lifting etc etc. You need a mix amigo. I know you just want to have big bulky strongman that can't move playing football but that isn't how it works No doubt, you do need both strength training and sport specific training when you're training for a sport. You need to actually play the sport and do drills that are more specific. However, IMO the focus of your training should always based in strength. Remember, a bigger engine doesn't slow the car down It's never bad to be stronger. I'm saying stronger, mind you. Not necessarily big and fat. Sure stronger people are usually bigger, but again the whole car and engine analogy...
  18. It does give two specifics: no preset weight limits and more Olympic lifting. Thank god. IMO, any S&C program should be based on squats, deadlift, bench and cleans (from the floor, mind you. not from a hang). It doesn't have to be complex, but it should be hard.

    BYU

I have a hard time taking this seriously. AggieAndee is a long time Utah State troll who visits the message board of every BYU opponent to talk smack about BYU. It's a really weird obsession. That seems like a terribly odd way to spend your time..
  20. Without looking into it, it would likely be pretty tough to do and not really worth the time. There is a ton of code and templating that goes on in board software that trying controlling the load or script execution order would likely make you want to kill someone.
  21. Getting back after it after vacation and a deload week. belted squat and bench today. Heavy singles work. Felt pretty good coming off vacation.
  22. I'd just bench more and stay away from isolation stuff if one of your goals is to push your bench up. Program in some of these too: 2 count paused bench 3 count paused bench close grip bench floor press towel press (or board press or what have you) standing overhead barbell press
  23. My legs are always sore after leg day. But no I don't recall any acute pain. Perhaps I had a little wider stance etc that someone previously mentioned. Probably. No acute pain is a good thing. I'd probably just train through it
  24. You don't recall any acute pain when "doing legs" recently? Could be just a muscle tear. Going to a doctor will likely just cost you money for him to tell you what you already know. You pulled something and you need to rehab it. Which doesn't mean sitting on it. If it's not painful to move, then keep working.
