  1. The biggest difference for me is between 480i analog and 480p digital. I can see the difference between HD and SD, but it only really bothers me if it's the old analog 480i.
  2. I'm genuinely curious if other people can even tell the difference between 1080 and 4k. I can barely see any difference between 720 and 1080 and can't see any difference between 1080 and 4k. I'll be the guy who's still buying DVD's and resisting having to pay more for Bluray for as long as I can.

  4. Paterno covered up stuff at OSU too?!?!!?
  5. The debate isn't the "humanhood" of the fetus - it's clearly human DNA. It's the "personhood" of the fetus. A bald eagle egg clearly isn't a "person". But as Landlord already pointed out, bald eagles aren't protected under the rights given people under the Constitution, but rather under laws protecting endangered species.
  6. The bold is what I think ultimately undoes Biden. He's been bought by corporations for years and his political career is about helping those corporations. JOE BIDEN’S PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN PLEDGED NOT TO TAKE SPECIAL-INTEREST MONEY — BUT NOT HIS PAC
  7. I suppose those people also think Merrick Garland is on the Supreme Court. Maybe Biden can pull the Trump routine and convince gullible Dem voters that it's the 90's again. I think they'll see through that, but I guess we'll see.
  8. We need to stop arguing over when life starts because it's silly. Science doesn't teach that life begins at conception because both the sperm and the egg were living cells before conception. There's no "life begins" in the process. As @Landlord pointed the real discussion should be about when "personhood begins". And even after the point that the fetus is a person, there's still the argument of the rights of the woman vs the rights of the fetus.
  9. You're assuming that the polls right now are going to continue to the election. I predict that Biden will fade as the primaries approach. He's another third-way, corporate lackey in a time of populism. He didn't win the nomination back when his brand of Dem politics was popular. He'll continue to say idiotic stuff like the Republicans will suddenly come around to compromising with him. It's like he's completely unaware of what happened while he was Vice President: The problem with Joe Biden’s Republican “epiphany” theory of bipartisanship
  10. I'm not sure what you're trying to say with the bolded. The fetus is indeed just a mass of tissue - science does not deny this but rather confirms this. But I don't think the "just a mass of tissue" argument by the pro-choice side holds much water since every single human is a mass of tissue.
  11. It's the same number of weeks because the B1G network shows non-conference games as well. But they can play twice as many non-conference games as conference games in any given week. So that means the conference games must be worth more than double the non-conference games. I mean, the total says the B1G is making more money, but I don't see how it's due to 8 vs 9 conference games.
  12. Maybe limit the notifications to the 3 most recent ones?
  13. Does anyone not on the West coast watch this? I'm done with CFB by the evening and have no desire to watch more after dark.
  14. Good post. The problem with the show however is that if Dany is truly motivated by revenge, then she wouldn't have let Jaime off so easily. And that was just a few episodes before she then exacts revenge on... innocent people who she's trying to rule. They don't setup how she could take vengeance on the wrong people when she had a clear opportunity to take vengeance on someone her brother told stories about when they were children. Plus they have the exact same issue of why Dany attacked the populace of the city instead of just destroying the Red Keep. The show writers bungled her character arc in service of getting quickly from Night King to Cersei to Dany as the main villain. IMO, they could have told the same plot but done the villains as Night King one season, followed by Cersei one season, followed by Dany in the last season. (Or some version of that.) That gives time to setup the switches, develop character motivations, and play out the betrayals and double-crosses and such that lead to Dany destroying King's Landing. Then we'd also have more than a single episode to explore Dany as the villain and the reactions to that. (I guess it's possible that the writers could pull the ultimate surprise and have another season after spending so much time saying this is the last one, but I strongly doubt it.)
  15. I wouldn't bet on Pelosi or Barr. They'll both somehow manage to lose.
  16. I don't think anyone will stop them or hold them to account because the Senate GOP cowers to Trump. This shows why it was important to hold the W team accountable for their lies, but both parties (including Obama and the Dems) just wanted to move forward and forget. Bolton being back is now going to cost us dearly.
  17. He did have enough Pym particles as someone mentioned above. And based on the rules of splitting timelines instead of affecting the original timeline, Rogers could not have gone back into the same timeline he started in.
  18. There's nothing to tell us whether Rogers was involved or not because he was in a separate timeline. He and Peggy could have very well been very involved in events in their timeline.
  19. John Bolton did this already to achieve an invasion of Iraq. I'm not surprised he'd do it again.
  20. I'm guessing that due to all the fracking in Colorado.
