  1. If he gets the 14 credits shouldnt we know sooner? You'd think so, but the last couple of years academic casualties usually aren't official until the last minute. The NCAA clearinghouse is very slow.
  2. You left out Bo, Watson, and Gilmore. About Sanders, I've heard a couple recruits mention they really liked him. I think it was PJ Smith and David Whitmore.
  3. We probably won't know for sure until fall practice.
  4. Could he become a FB? He's already 220 lbs so I'd think that's a possibility.
  5. You would be wrong: link Thanks, I had him confused with Keelan Johnson who's nowhere close to being on the DL.
  6. I don't think it's the same Eric Harper, but I could be wrong.
  7. He could be a backup plan, much like Eddie Brown was for A&M. Or the staff might have decided not offer after meeting him, or after Williams firmed up his commitment, etc. There are a lot of possibilities.
  8. scout has him as having an offer on his profile(free) http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p...amp;nid=3114105 That's true, but others are saying scout is wrong. I'm just relaying what I've read, so take it for what it's worth.
  9. According to the LJS story, he turned down an offer on Monday night.
  10. Other boards are saying that NU hasn't extended an offer to Youboty. And that he very much liked his Louisville visit. So I expect that he's headed elsewhere.
  11. He has been offered and has accepted a schollie - making him the first commit of the 2009 recruiting class.
  12. We didn't exactly shutdown Culpepper, but I understand your point and I agree.
  13. Pelini's D always seems to have a play-making safety. So I'm going with a ball-hawking Thenarse.
  14. Come on. I can take posters here making mistakes, but that's an article written by a supposed journalist. I personally find it hard to take a professional seriously who cannot communicate their views.
  15. Can somebody give a summary? I don't have FS Midwest so I probably won't be able to see the show.
  16. Who wrote that article? It's full of mispellings and grammatical errors.
  17. It's like... existential, man. Looks pretty good for this guy, but it's not a lock yet as his family wants him to stay close to home in Miss.
  18. He's planning on making a decision by week's end.
  19. I think we'll try for a full class but won't have one by the time fall practice starts. There will be some potential slots for walk-ons.
  20. Does anyone know if it's available online or some other channel for those of us outside the state?
  21. I'm surprised how many think we'll lose to CU. We led 35-24 at the half, and ended the game with 51 points - in Boulder. Even a half-decent defense would have won us the game, easily. This year CU comes to Lincoln, and it'll be the end of the season so both teams should be experienced. CU lost several key defensive players, including all-world LB Jordan Dizon. I think that favors NU quite a bit, we should have a much better D by then, and our offense should be at least as good. Injuries and luck certainly play a big role so either team could win, but I'd favor us against them in 08.
  22. For the love of god, it's "Osborne" not "Osbourne". I think we seriously underperformed in 07. We won the B12 north and did fine against a good Auburn team in the Cotton bowl in 06, so I'm not sure exactly what happened. And then there was the 73 point drubbing of KSU during a stretch of losing badly to other teams. I think we'll be an improved team in 08, but I have no idea how much we'll improve.
  23. I like "Husker Nation". And I don't care where it started.
  24. Next year is a whole different season. NU played very poorly and will probably be better, while KU and MU played extremely well and will have a hard time maintaining that. Without the benefit of seeing these teams play their OOC schedules, I'd say NU has a decent chance of upsetting one of them. But both MU and KU are favorites over NU at this point, and rightfully so. This will be a much more meaningful discussion by the end of September.
