They were invited before Christmas via e-mail. Nebraska broke the coaches into small groups (offensive line, defensive line, secondary, etc.) and talked Xs and Os, drills and training methods. A Nebraska sports information official said the coaches usually do this in bowl games in recruiting hotbeds such as Florida and Texas. Pretty smart. But also a nice gesture."

While checking out Clemson's roster, I see that the vast majority of their players are from instate. With the talent rich hotbed of the southeast, they don't have to venture far. Most others are from Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama. They don't venture far north of the Mason-Dixon Line (must be the Yankee thing) - 2 from Ohio, 1 from Illinois. They've stayed clear of anything within the Louisiana Purchase zone. They did venture to California for 1 and Texas for 1. Most reports indicate they've recruited some top-shelf classes in recent years and are stacked with talent.

It will be a 'sleeper'. Someone we've not become largely aware of yet. Bo's staff will develop some guys and we'll be pleasantly surprised by someone that hasn't been in the limelight.

My wish is that the current roster is sufficiently laden with adequate, but untapped, talent that we could redshirt all recruits and have a return to the times of 5th year players tearing it up, year after year into posterity.
