Nobody is going to keep their talent when one of the two late night shows comes calling. Stewart will probably get into some more serious stuff if his movie is any indication.
I thought he was the perfect fit for it. Yes he's definitely liberal, but he was pretty knowledgeable for the most part. And being "fake" allowed him to call a spade a spade more easily, and mock anyone and anything for their hypocrisy and stupidity.
