Ok now show the other teams scores. If I remember Nebraska was never in the missou game in 2008 and Nebraska offense helped Oklahoma in 2008 take 35 point lead in the first quarter. Stats and scores are meaningless especially when made in garbage time. I'll say it again Callahan problem was not just the defense but his offenses ability to move the ball against any defense that had a pulse.

I was wondering why they thought the fans of either Nebraska or Colorado would be interested in what Big 12 QB were coming back next year. They also made a remark that blamed Nebraska for Colorado leaving the Big 12 even though Colorado was the first to jump.

You mean the QB that Pelini and Watson both thought would be the number one qb this before Taylor came out of nowhere? Now if they thought he was going to be the starter why hasn't he progressed under Watson tutelage? Just wondering if Taylor never happened then would Burkhead be the full time qb. Maybe Pelini should make Tim Beck the new QB coach since Burkhead has shown more progress playing qb then anyone Watson has worked over.

Maybe they wanted to make it seem like they were playing in Memorial Stadium where Nebraska plays less then their best games at home. Shushing the field would make it seem like the quiet at home games. Ok, they probably rushed the field since this was the first time in 22 years or something that they beat a top ten team.

So. Watson had little to nothing to do with where Nebraska QB are right now? If memory serves me right Watson has been the OC for the last 4 to 5 years. He didn't start from scratch like the defensive coaches. He's been the one recruiting theses QB'S(and if he hasn't been whose fault is this?) Remember the Gabbert situation where the rumors of the coaching staff being fired at the end and some of the coaches were telling him to look elsewhere, where and what was Watson doing before he got Osborne stamp of approval. Was he trying to talk Gabbert in staying with his decision or even in touch with him at all during this time? Kind of hurt his own cause it seems. I find it funny that the two qb's that have done anything under Watson kind of backed into the position or fell into it (Ganz, T - Magic) compared to the guys he recruited to run his so called offense ( Zac Taylor or cody Greene). I applaude that he had the guts to give the ball to a unproven freshman, but he has made this offense dependant on one person. This offense has scheme looks no different then when Solich had the one man teams of Crouch and Lord. Though at least Solich knew when a team that had a problem against the run to run it straight at them.... Watson not so much. I'm guessing if Osborne was allowed to play oc with this team they have more then 6 points against Texas A & M. though thats like comparing a legend to a guy thats only rated the 10th best OC in a nameless article.

Its might be somewhat of an age thing. If you're older like me you might be less likely to like it. I will mist playing Oklahoma. I understand it and can see where it will probably work out for the best long term, but still don't like it. When you get old you tend not to like change. Nah, the conference was built around the OU/UT rivalry and the OU/NU game became a time to remember how great that rivalry used to be. The games were neat, but only in that it made me think about all of the great Big 8 games that were played. There's no reason they didn't have a permanent crossover matchup between north and south teams so that NU could play OU every year, but they didn't. Don't blame the conference or Texas for no longer playing OU every year. Oklahoma the only one to blame there. Nebraska proposed a designated rival and OU said if Texas didn't have to play NU every year OU wasn't going to play both every year. Course Nebraska was the Big Dog at the start of the conference and they pretty much carried them througout the 90's. Remember it seemed every team that went to a bowl game except Nebraska seemed to lose. Then the disgruntled fan base and boosters allowed the Pederson/Callahan years to happen

I found it amusing and informative. Never knew Nebraska fired Osborne and then elected him 10 years later. All of those pictures looked exactly like Nebraska except maybe 9 of them. Nowledge is a terrible thing to waste. The more you learn the more you nnow.

The reporters knew they weren't going to get anymore comment about his noise comment that they tried a different tactic and tried to get him to praise a fanbase that is known as the 12th man. Pelini saw what was coming so he threw that out. Just listen to his I can't win chuckle when he said that.

Probably will never play a down again at Nebraska. They say that he's 100% now but he just doesn't have the experience nor the complete confidence to play with his knee yet. BTW, many people seem to be reporting Martinez is around 90% healthy and that the ankle is right where it should be. I've even talked to a few players who say Taylor isn't really having any trouble with it right now. Above the foot below the knee?

Someone posted that the board is great for the meltdowns it has when Nebraska loses. They forgot to mention when Nebraska barely wins and didn't really earn the victory that the meltdowns are just as classic. CY your post was the match to light the fire, and Nebraska fans wrath and anger had to find something or someone to direct it at. Though the topic got locked before I could add my 1 cent of wisdom.
