The court will examine what a "reasonable" accommodation for an alcoholic will be. They will never, ever say that it's a legit, reasonable accommodation to allow someone to come to work intoxicated.
Seems like career suicide. I don't imagine he has much of a case either unless he is planning on challenging that he was drunk on the job. Probably just hoping for a settlement.
I hope he gets a huge settlement out of it. Seems like USC was real quick to used his drunken episode as an excuse to can him. That's what is seems like to me, anyway.
