  1. I legit thought you were in a nursing home by now.
  2. I think some of us will be surprised by how fast he turns this around. This will be a fun thread to visit this time next year. The last year of the big 12, going into the first year in the big 10 there was a lot of talk of "has anyone won a conference championship in two different conferences back to back?" Of course we didn't win either, but Frost's ceiling is higher imo. It won't take long for that narrative to pop up. By the second year I expect every game to start with the announcers talking about the Big Ten West's new threat, with a heavy dose of hype up to our first loss. I'm not really sure what my point is aside from our expectations will probably bounce up pretty high after a couple years of mediocre pelini-level success. "Next year" will be ours again!! Wild Turkey 101 for me, please.
  3. I don't follow recruiting very much, but isn't it pretty normal under circumstances like this? I remember hearing that Harbaugh's first class was horrible, he didn't have much time to piece it together. I think Frost is aiming as high as they can. We aren't going to flip many 4-5* at this point.
  4. Because Riley was nice. No other teams wanted to hire him. Frost could have had a shot at Florida, FSU, A&M, Oregon, Tennessee, etc. Riley was all media narrative because he's a good guy. Frost had legit interest from other schools based on his resume.
  5. Rumors going around that they objected to the new mandatory Superhero-Friday dress code.
  6. You can buy a lot of warm undies for 200-500k difference in salary
  7. This can't be good for Frost's legacy there, not that it matters (to me). He's taking long time coaches, and going after UCF's offered and committed recruits... From Nebraska's perspective we have to take everything we possibly can to hit the ground running and I don't fault him one bit. It is a big upgrade for players and coaches across the board as far as potential at Nebraska, but man UCF is going to be starting from scratch in a lot of ways. Good thing their football excellence fund was topped off.
  8. how bout those assistants? heh heh heh am i rite keeeewl
  9. I found it really interesting how many other fan bases felt Suh should have won the Heisman that year, and that was the beginning of the end for the importance of that trophy. If you're bored read a few of those comments, I thought it was Nebraska fans that thought Suh got robbed.
  10. I suppose it could change, but ESPN just scrolled on their ticker that Frost is officially coaching UCF for the Peach Bowl.
  11. That would be awkward at this point.
  12. Absolutely. Not to mention we are after a few of their current commits. I don't see the upside for UCF, except that they have no coaches...
  13. Imagine in a few years Nebraska is undefeated. Nick Saban retires, Scott Frost accepts the Alabama job for 200mil/year. He accomplished what he set out to do at Nebraska, looking for the next challenge. Nebraska still has a bowl game/playoff game left. Alabama fans show up to our game acting all happy and fake friendly and "just trying to show support" for their new coach. As a Nebraska fan, would you like that? Stay home. Wait your turn. Just my opinion. If you HAVE to go, buy UCF gear and don't be a dick.
  14. The fans are pissed, but I could see a player decommitting because they wanted to play in Frost's system. One of the commits called Frost a liar. It seems weird for him to coach a team he is in competition with.
  15. 4. If you go undefeated you will be a national champion.
  16. UCF fans aren't happy with this, at least a share of them. I wouldn't be either. They said before that quote from Moos that all it would be is a 3 hour marketing campaign for the cornholers. They're right, and it should be about UCF and their team, not us. I don't think we get much of a bump if any in recruiting by this, tons of recruits already saw the CCG and know what the offense looks like. https://ucf.forums.rivals.com/threads/nebraska-ad-calls-scott-frost-coaching-ucf-in-peach-bowl-a-‘commercial’-for-huskers.57543/
