  1. Just downloaded Tubi to the tv today. I was impressed with the movie selection and the amount of ads is very reasonable.. Went back to the high school days watching Vamp and The Gate.
  2. What folks tend to forget is that this Florida team had been undefeated and flat-dominant up to this game. We blew the doors off of a hell of a team.
  3. Think Dubsker is talking about this Booker T
  4. The O-line played MUCH better in the last five games. Should be pretty solid with everyone back. Jurgens should he considerably improved. Hopefully Benhart is ready at RT so Farniok can move inside to his more natural position.
  5. Glad Bryant is adjusting well to life after football. Sucks crappy knees killed a talented kid's career. Hope Ronald Thompkins isn't headed in the same direction, if he can't go this year I don't like his chances of every playing again.
  6. Considerable drop from P5 to FCS, for a guy that was a 4* coming out of high school and only played just a year of college. From the tweet sounds like there is a story behind this
  7. If things go according to plan Benhart will be starting RT and Farniok will move to guard. I'd lean toward RG so Benhart has somebody right there that knows everything. With our losses on D-line we desperately need a couple youngsters to step-up. Robinson and Keem Green are probably our best candidates to do that. Looking forward to seeing what Vokolek and Rahmir can do on O. Vokolek had transfer offers from programs proven to put TE's in the NFL and Rahmir looked good in his limited action last season.
  8. The loss of JD definitely hurts but having Wandale back at duck-r and Warner healthy to provide reliable possession work should help. If Manning and Betts are as good as the hype we should have a nice group with increased production. Hopefully a couple guys establish themselves as deep threats, when defenses don't have to respect the long ball it makes everything harder.
  9. They will be breaking-in a totally new defensive scheme that day, should be able to move the ball all over them. Trouble is they've shown the ability to move the ball all over us. Hopefully home-field and hopefully improved ST's can be the difference.
  10. What are chances a first-time HC at the G5 level put together a staff that can win big at the P5 level? Not good. I understand Frost doesn't like telling guys they aren't good enough to move-on with him but there is a reason guys making this kind of jump normally cherry-pick their best then fill the rest out the rest of the staff with the kind of hires their new cache/budget/connections can get them. Betting Moos didn't like the idea but really wanted Frost and figured it would pay-off long-term when Frost separates the grain from the chaff(as he started to do with DeWitt and Walters, I think Ruud and Beckton have to step-up or they're next). My only concern is Chin, DC is vitally important and he needs to improve, if he doesn't improve would Frost can(or demote) his best friend?
  11. I'd throw-in if the Akron tune-up happens AND Adrian doesn't get assaulted post-play against CU. If we don't get screwed on those things we start 3-0 and make a bowl. What made the 2019 season so frustrating was that we didn't have those 2018 misfortunes and still didn't make a bowl.
  12. Maybe, but at least this would mean we get much better. Don't see him getting a shot with that kind of program without us really going somewhere.
  13. It was pretty obvious in the post-game pressers that Frost's focus was monopolized by the offense, and ya it is to the detriment of the D and ST's.
  14. When they first announced his change in title I thought it was somewhat about rationale for his raise rather than a substantial change in duties. But from public comments where he was openly critical of our rushing attack it does look like he's going to have real input from here on out. Between Austin and Lubick think Frost will get substantially better input than he got from Walters.
  15. McGovern has a better resume than any assistant on our staff. Given his coaching history I assume he and Dawson are boys. Wonder whether this is just a low-stress coaching gig to take while the Giants are paying him or if he's getting the lay of the land for a potential long-term gig here. Appears Maffei was focused on ST's in prior gigs, like that we're paying more attention to that area.
  16. If I was a betting man I'd be all over OSU and PSU. Those OSU and PSU lines make way more sense than the ones in the OP.
  17. Frost brought over a whole coaching staff put together by a rookie HC at the G5 level with his best bud at DC, he didn't do himself any favors. Bo had his share of close losses, it's not like his seasons couldn't have been better too. I agree we were unlucky in '18. If Akron doesn't take away our tune-up game and AM doesn't get assaulted post-play we go 6-6. Last year was not bad luck, the job didn't get done on O, D or ST's. Of course there were personnel issues we're working on fixing but too often we got outcoached. We should have at least made a freaking bowl. CU and a majorly depleted Purdue squad were inexcusable losses, Minnesota blew us off the freaking field. Not saying I've lost hope by any stretch, I do think we'll get better, but I'd say an "I'll believe it when I see it" attitude towards this regime has been earned.
  18. If those two are up to their hype we could have a nice combination between them and Wandale. On the plus side I think Lubick will coach-up our wr's way better than Walters did.
  19. Towards the end of last season Hickman was already practicing with the wr's and I don't see him having the mass currently to play TE anyway. I can't see moving Luke to wr this spring. QB has it's own share of issues, AM didn't play nearly well enough to have the #1 spot just locked away and I think Luke would at least pass Vedral to be #2. Plus I'd assume they want to shirt Smothers. In the fall I can see Luke as a "packages" guy that they move around like the Saints use Taysom Hill.
  20. It's year three, if we can't even manage OK there are issues that go past what was inherited from Riley and more changes need to be made.
  21. The O-line played much better the last five games, with everyone back plus Benhart hopefully ready to move Farniok inside this could be our best line in a long time. Excited to see how much impact the additions of Vokolek and Manning will make in our perimeter-blocking and pass-game. Whether we approach the kind of production this article predicts depends on getting our qb play and playcalling squared-away. We need to reestablish the deep passing game, not only provides a big-play threat but forces the D to defend the whole field., loosening things up underneath. Interested to see how rb shakes-out with our frosh, hopefully Thompkins can go, if he can't I doubt he ever plays.
  22. Ya, we should have gone at least 7-5, no excuse for losing to CU or a depleted Purdue squad.
  23. With costs skyrocketing it's damn impressive Frost has been able get so many guys to pass on schollies to lover-level programs. If I was a prospect back in my day(late 80's) I would have walked-on, if I was a kid now I'd probably take that sure thing at SDSU or wherever.
