  1. The other 8 have no choice but to make this offer. Wont work though. Genie is out of the bottle.
  2. The bold is spot on. If there are four 16-team conferences, NU probably safe (and I'd hope not all of the "good" programs are all in 1 or 2 conference). If there is one super conference, NU would be in trouble unless they start winning 9+ soon. Of course, if one super conference (even more so than the current SEC with Texas and OU) is developed, I wonder if the rest of the country will tune-out, thus ultimately hurting that super-conference's financials enough for them to want to return to a more reasonable distribution of talent and wealth.
  3. Kinda figured we'd be ranked highly in this regard, yet I did think we'd hear more about some major deals similar to whats being reported elsewhere (i.e. D'Eriq King).
  4. The vast majority of fans understand the dynamics and agree it'd be foolish to go back. The only factual positive would be closer road games. For some reason theres this vocal minority (or trolls) that try to convince everyone the glory days will return simply by rejoining the 12.
  5. Mystery solved! Board wants Huskers back in Big12. Moos wasn't going for it. Stewart will have us back there within three years!
  6. I too found that interesting that Riley's staff was mentioned.
  7. Learned this offense CAN look very well when run game (working from start) is stuck with. Frost maybe learn a lesson from Minny debacle? One nitpick: Gotta call more north/south near goal line. Yet, was nice to see the well executed option.
  8. I've not been impressed with this particular officiating crew throughout the season. Definitely biased though after watching the head ref mouth "wow" after our DB makes hard (should've been legal) hit against OSU and the subsequent flag.
  9. Now that the thread is completely off topic.... I've always found it funny that those that claim to want more financial fairness or refer to college players as "slaves" are the very people that, in the end, will be responsible for turning off the spigot that's led to vast college football revenue, meaning future players will likely benefit less than they do now. But sure, some people that financially benefit now, perhaps more so than they should, won't be able to do so in the future, at least not to current extent.
  10. I'm still seeing 6.5 on sportsline and the site I use for betting.
  11. Feel essentially the same. He'll get 2 more years, and probably at least another 2 after that. At some point he's going to have better recruit, especially at QB, and make staff changes. What seemed like improvement first season, after 0-6 start, has since turned into a s#!t show.
  12. Would agree, I just don't have faith that our D can continue to play hero ball.
  13. Minny doing little more than standing with their arms crossed just waiting for us to trip over ourselves. Might be time to let LMC finish this one. AM can't hit the proverbial broadside.
  14. They did. We struggle to learn lessons. lol We also continue to get beat with the underneath crossing pattern.
  15. Probably already been said, but sadly this looks too similar to the Illinois game. Team looks unprepared, not executing enough, and Scott being outcoached again and poor game management. And unfortunately looks like were getting Adrian Hyde instead of Andrian Jekyll. Minnesota doing nothing special. Just not shooting self in foot.
  16. Do you know why the East was supposed to get to host 5 out of 7 possible games?
  17. Unwilling to drop cash on it, but I feel pretty good about the game today. Might actually win by double digits with a key special teams play thrown in.
  18. Tried it on both google and firefox. Looks like maybe the banner isn't loading correctly; adding additional info near upper right of threads section.
  19. Noticed today on my laptop that the section of the screen containing the threads is reduced to half screen size. Previously the thread width spanned across the majority of the screen.
  20. I feel the same. I was always taught to make the opponent make a decision. Ideally, teh decision is forced before the correct answer presents itself. For someone who was a decent, slightly above average athlete, this advice often worked.
  21. Bingo. The bold is what has separated LMC from AM along with decision making (not stating there isn't room for improvement).
  22. Defense wasn't playing prevent. They were flat out getting gashed.
  23. Learned I'm pretty much a glass half-full guy except when it comes to the Huskers. Glad they one, but.... 1. WAY too much love for a defense that just got gashed for 500 yards. Seems guys are often in position to make plays, but too much poor tackling. They hit hard, but many times getting juked or falling off runners like they're covered in Vaseline. 2. Frost & staff getting badly outcoached in second halves. Happens to the best once-in-while. Unfortunately, this is a trend. (3 f'ing points all season?!!!) 3. McCaffrey generally hits his location on passes. Spirals are ugly, but much better putting ball on target than in dirt or airmailing like AM. I'm not convinced we win this came with him. More passes would've been missed and possibly more picked. AM doesn't bring anything more as a runner than LMC. At halftime, though PSU greatly added to the first half success, really thought I'd come up away feeling much better about the team's improvement 3 games into year 3.
  24. Just heard on BTN that Frost said both QBs will play. Guess it means we'll see more of McCaffrey than usual since he's starting.
