  1. Really impressed by some of the class acts welcoming us to the conference. Nice to see.
  2. Yep, last year's was Leshoure and Herron, first team, Royster and Clay, second team.
  3. From what I've heard, two RBs get selected to each team. So Ball and Burkhead on First Team, Coker and Redd on Second Team.
  4. I love Suh as well and can't blame a young man for have an emotional mental lapse in judgement. What a fan, teammate, coach, league, etc. can't stand for is the "explanation". Suh needs to own what he did. Admit he got caught up in the moment, got frustrated because of a cheap shot and let it get the best of him. By trying to explain it away, when it's clear on video that he was in the wrong, is coming across as delusional. Like he really doesn't feel that what he did was wrong in any way. It was wrong and he needs to come clean and fix it. Sure there's a fine line between aggressive play and just being dirty, but he's got to find that line and operate on the right side of it.
  5. Very cool. Love watching them play, especially Werth this year.
  6. Stick with Badgerfan. I've come to enjoy your posts under that name very much.
  7. The players need to have a quick reflex on the block button. They can instantly block any follower they want and should be encouraged by the coaches to use this option liberally. Any hint of negativity from a fan or member of the media...Gone.
  8. Echo the sentiments of those that can live with the record, but disappointed in the losses we took. Coming into a new conference with new coaches, with the welcome mat of a schedule we were given, then embarrassing the Legends Division winner and also beating OSU and PSU, I can live with that. Tough to swallow the meltdown we had against Michigan though and not showing up for the NW game.
  9. The tweets following suggested it was more precautionary than anything else. Could be coach speak...
  10. Not a chance. Even in the worst of times I show delusional loyalty and hope.
  11. This is what I thought we were doing with the MSU game.
  12. If we're talking coverups as being unclean than I definitely want our program squeaky clean. No place for that. Anywhere of course, but not at an institution that I consider myself a fan. On the flipside, I can handle kids being kids. As long as there's disciplinary actions taken of course. College is still school. These kids are learning the game, learning in the classroom, and still learning to be adults. They're allowed mistakes. The program, however, is not.
  13. They have to now don't they? How long is Cotton out?
  14. Great decision Sandusky's attorneys.
  15. Didn't want to start my own thread, but would like to have my username changed as well. Instead of SkerJosh I'd like to be called JoshSker if that's possible.
  16. Oh yeah, anyone who plays Colorado Buffaloes, Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and now Iowa Hawkeyes (work in Iowa ).
  17. Til I was 11 I was raised on the other side of the river in Council Bluffs so I was taught from my grandpa and uncles to root for Iowa and anyone who plays Nebraska. Moved to Nebraska and tried like hell to hate them. Met Ron Brown through FCA and I was sold from there. Went out and bought a Husker jacket. I was a kid during the Montana to Rice years of the NFL so I gravitated towards the 49ers and have stuck with them. I didn't care much about baseball till just after high school. Hated the Yankees and found myself rooting for the Red Sox. Been a fan every since. Can't stand watching basketball at any level. I love hockey live, but can't watch it on TV. Don't have a favorite because of this. As far as other sports go, I follow Husker volleyball and baseball as well as football. I ran track competitively so I try to catch a little bit whenever I can of those events too.
  18. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? - 20 years 2) What/who led you to The Nation? - Ron Brown through FCA 3) Where are you from originally? - Springfield, NE 4) Where do you live now? - Omaha, NE 5) Favorite Husker memory? - Tommie Frazier Touchdown! '96 Fiesta Bowl 6) Worst Husker memory? - 2001 Colorado game 7) Number of home games attended? - 10+ 8) Number of away games attended? - 0 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? - Picture commemorating '96 Fiesta Bowl signed by Tommie Frazier and a football signed by Johnnie Rodgers 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) - Corner of the end zone at Memorial. After that, a friend's place or my house with friends... 11) Favorite all time player? - Brook Berringer 12) WCO or Option? - Option 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? - Anybody but Pederson 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? - Herbie 15) Favorite Husker play? - Since I picked the Frazier run against Florida above, I'll go with Ahman Green's first carry of the game touchdown against Colorado

    Kinnie

I wasn't trying to remove blame from the WR in question, just pointing out it possibly was more than just "Kinnie can't catch". There are more factors that we don't see on game day, but the receivers and QB go through every day in practice. If you watch the WR's reactions when the ball is on them, you can tell that consistency is a factor. Not the reason. A factor. Hah! Glad you finally joined up! Took you long enough. Make yourself at home, ORS. I get your "factor" argument, and I don't want to say it's "NOT a factor." I just think it's more on the WR than the QB in that scenario. Thanks for the welcome. Been lurking for a while, but am going to try to post once in a while too. Hard to find time nowadays. Can't figure out the subscription options here either. I agree that it's more on the WR than the QB too. As I said earlier, general opinion is, if it hits your hands you better catch it. At this level anyway.
  21. It's been nicked up a bit too.

  23. Accurately put. I met Ron Brown a number of times as a kid going through FCA. I didn't grow up a Husker fan, but I've been one ever since meeting this man.
