  1. My first thought when we were lining up for the kick--- I was concerned about getting enough height. I was picturing in my mind a fingertip stopping us. We all know this kid could kick. I was sitting in front of the recruits in the east stadium. A couple of their parents and the recruits were high fiving/tenning. Most of the time they are pretty reserved with their thoughts and feelings during any game. This none was different. They could sense the electricity in the air and i believe they were swept up in what makes us special. I make it a habit to limit any interaction, and always attempt to present a well behaved Nebraska fan. Some games it is really hard, especially with some of the officiating we have seen this year. I must say they were impressed with the atomosphere and the game. I would say after that game-- it was a great time for Bo and Tom to work their magic on a few of the undecided recruits. I saw a few names on the tags of some big boys that are not on our recruiting list. I was hoping someone would reply to the requests for yesterday's visitors.
  2. Notre Dame football truly is sucking right now. I was thinking they would get the Gator Bowl over us, until last night. If you look at the history of Bowl games, as long as the puppeters can not come up with a magical reason to put Notre Dame in a BCS bowls, they usually get a one of the better invites regardless of record. That said, for a recruits future-- education wise-- how do you compare that to any other top 25 school in the country? Let's see, I am a corporate bigwig and I have five resumes in front of me and they read-- Boise state, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Alabama, and Notre Dame-- which one am I going to make sure I call first? With that said, all the schools listed are fine schools, however: there is no denying, right or wrong, that a graduate degree from Hardvard, yale, Notre Dame, will give a recruit a leg up. If they (recruit) are any good at football-- they will get a tryout and a shot at the NFL. Think of all the linemen, Db's, qb's inthe NFL we have never heard of.
  3. My throat is a little raspy this morning. Looks like tea with lemon and honey for the day. Does anyone have a complete link for the kick and Suh TD? I can't believe this link didnt show both!! Go Big Red
  4. KSU? Perhaps? I'm would think a guy like Snyder would look at him to stick it one more time to NU
  5. Well said. I'm sure he feels he still has unfinished business at Buffalo, but I would think he is thinking of bigger and better programs.
  6. Wife is making me spend 11 days with the outlaws, Orlando, over the holidays. I would look forward to spending a few more days, if Nebraska makes it to the Gator Bowl. Changing an airline ticket over the Holidays, would kill me.
  7. We, my 12 year old son, are headed down there on Saturday. I will be the one wearing the snow suit. Froze my jibblies last week with long underwear and my Cabelas- Goretex lined- hunting pants last week. I hope we skin some Cats.
  8. Dang, I need to get out and watch the ladies once in a while.
  9. Lets rock the house!! Jays 73 our beloved much improved Huskers 61
  10. At least he is not wearing beads!!!!
  11. No more rumorville? What's next, there isn't an Easter Bunny. RIP rumorville.
  12. I would be shocked if Les Miles does not go to Michigan. He will say whatever he needs to say at the moment to ensure the National Title comes to LSU. I would want to move out of that hell hole as fast as I could. I cant believe his wife loves it down there etc... and all that stuff he said.
  13. He is as good as gone, especially with his position coach leaving.
  14. I think i posted this on another where will BC go. My brother back east said the sport shows (local radio) is talking about Billy C going to the NY Jets as a HC. Someone must love him back east. I could not believe PUD would have that much time to make that many calls to radio stations and disguise his voice each time. But hey, fwith a couple of million bucks he could buy one of those voice changers at Radio Shack
  15. Thanks for the links. Good talent like Coach Gill wont stay at Buffalo too long. How crazy would it be to see Buffalo in a bowl game next year?
  16. I better add myself to the list. He was not in my top 4 choices either. I too thought by year 3/4 we would be scratching our heads and going why did we hire this guy. But I must tell you, Im on the bowagon and very excited about next year. He certainly has added aspring in my step. I will be watching where Peterson ends up going or if he stays at Boise State, what happens to Turner Gill, etc... LSU will beat OSU very badly in NC game 2008. It would be nice if at the end of the game, Bo would open rip open his shirt and reveal his Nebraska colors underneath (a la Superman)(or those cool ass pilots that buzz the stadium before each game).
  17. Spot on. The guy is very sincere. I am on the bowagon.
  18. Sounds like Tom lobbied a little for Watson to stay. I'm sure Bo will keep him. I gaurantee it.
  19. I agree with 9 wins. Lose Big 12 title, win bowl game for 9th win.
  20. Going down to OKC to watch the game in neighboring Norman
  21. Bo would not coach NC. If he is made HC here, he better get his here asap and jump start his job here. I would be very disappointed if he stayed on at LSU past Tuesday this week.
  22. I didnt read the gyno story, but it is an area of interest. I thought the guy wearing the tux and drinking a fancy drink (in New Orleans)story was very creative. I thought the author might swing both ways since he remembered what another guy was wearing and drinking, so I was curious if we were talking American football or soccer. Told him I would buy him a Zima if it came true. Looks like I am out of $3.50 for a malt beverage. Hopefully I wont have to meet him downtown in one of those alternative bars to buy it
  23. I am guessing Gundy (800,000) to Gene Chitzek (1,100,000) kind of money. Then the bonus to be $25,000 for each step up on the scale of the post season (BCS worth $100,000-$125,00). If he is paid over 1.1 then we are paying too much to an unproven head coach commodity.
  24. I am now on the bowagon. We cant always get what we want and if you cant love the one you want, love the one you are with. Such much for Troy McClure for Head Coach. I remember a guy named Moses, who caught a lot of crap, as he was leading a few people to the promise land. Time to pony up a little dough next month to help out our program.
  25. Earn a blackshirt? Boy that sure would piss off Coz if he was reading that.
